Only used twice so far. Purchased last month. The rotisserie worked great. Just use the burners and side burner, both worked well. Just have to get use to them. Only problem I had was the instructions to put the unit together. They really should be clearer
Much better grill than those routinely found at big box stores.
This is my second Napoleon purchase. My first one was a Rogue 425 that I have at my cabin. I loved it so much that I bought this grill to replace my high end grill at my home. Great choice! This is the best grill I have ever had.
After owning this grill for 5 years, I feel compelled to review this grill. The warranty is exceptional, and I have never not received a part I needed, however the customer service you have to go through to get a warranty part is BAD, like really bad. The most recent call I made in it took 45 minutes on hold, and total call length was 51 minutes. I also once had a customer service gal tell me that the only grill cover that could adequately protect my grill was the Napoleon brand one, all other covers would not protect my grill properly, and that was the reason for one of the issues I was having...really? Luckily I was able to get connected on the chat and talk to someone who knew what they were talking about, and they got me what I needed no haggling. I think the biggest disappointment for me is that I am a meticulous person, and I pride myself on buying nice things and taking excellent care of them, including this grill. Despite proper maintenance, keeping it covered when not in use, proper winterization/storage, I have had so many parts fail. Last spring I had to replace the manifold (warranty) because the jet fire tubes had completely eroded away. I have had issues with quality of the sear burner and had to have that replaced as well. Now I am going through my grill getting it ready for spring, and I have more parts failing. The cross light/cross tube that helps keep the grill lit if a burner goes out is literally falling apart when you touch it. One of my "stainless steel burners" has a giant crack by holes where the flames come out, and another looks like it is close to doing the same. The lighting went out completely. The fake chrome on the temp. gauge is bubbling, the graphics on the control panel are starting to flake off (a known problem on Google), and the cart is also showing signs on rust on the inside despite never doing anything rough inside the grill. Thankfully, all of the parts mentioned are being covered under warranty and on their way (except the burners which I have an open claim for). My hope going into spring was to get this cleaned up, sold, and purchase the Prestige Phantom for the cast stainless cooking grates and wireless temp controls, but after seeing the amount of new parts that need replacing, I have serious concerns about purchasing another one. Maybe it is just a fluke and I got some bad quality components in my grill? Again, the warranty has been top notch WHEN you are able to get customer service to connect with you. I would have liked to email Napoleon about this, but I have searched their website high and low and cannot find one.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review after 5 years of ownership. We truly appreciate the care and attention you’ve given your Prestige® PRO 500 RSIB, and we’re grateful you’ve stayed committed to the brand throughout your warranty experiences. First, we want to sincerely apologize for the difficulty you’ve encountered when trying to reach our Customer Care team. Long hold times and inconsistent information are not the standard we aim to deliver, and we understand how frustrating that is, especially when you take great pride in maintaining your grill properly. We’re glad our chat support was able to resolve some of those interactions more smoothly, but the overall experience clearly fell short. We’ll be passing this feedback along so we can continue to improve. Regarding the components you’ve had to replace: while we’re pleased that your warranty has covered the needed parts, we’re genuinely sorry to hear about the repeated issues you’ve faced. You’ve gone above and beyond in caring for your grill, and it’s understandably disappointing to see multiple parts wear prematurely. Your feedback about burners, cross-light tubes, panel graphics, and cart condition is incredibly valuable for our engineering and product quality teams. We’re glad the current replacement parts are on their way, and we appreciate your patience as the burner claim continues. Your comments about considering a future upgrade, especially the Prestige Phantom, are also important to us. We understand why you’d have reservations after this experience, and we want to assure you that we’re committed to improving both durability and service touchpoints based on feedback like yours. As for contacting us by email, thank you for letting us know. At this time our support requests are now routed through our warranty portal or phone/ chat channels. We appreciate your loyalty, your honesty, and the meticulous care you’ve given your grill. Thank you again for your review.

I spent a lot of time researching grills before buying the Prestige Pro 500 and it has exceeded my expectations. The quality, size, and raw materials are striking the moment you see it. It's a handsome grill that feels extremely solid and thoughtfully built, with tons of stainless steel and a one-piece cast aluminum firebox that has no welds and will never rust. Cooking on it has been fantastic. The burners and ignition system work flawlessly and the grill gets very hot while still giving you great control. The sear burner is excellent for steaks, and the full-width drip pan makes cleaning surprisingly easy. The interior halogen lights are also a great touch for evening grilling. I also appreciate that this model is made in Canada. I had to contact customer service during assembly for a missing fastener and reached a knowledgeable representative in Canada who immediately took care of it. Shipping and delivery were excellent — tracking was clear and the freight delivery was flawless. Assembly was more of a construction project than a small grill, but the instructions were clear and everything went together well. I'm also glad I picked this model before the new wave of grills with screens and smart features. For me grilling should be simple and mechanical, and this grill gets that balance exactly right. I was considering more expensive luxury options from brands like Coyote, Bull and Blaze. The Napoleon won me over due to its superior value for the money, features, and better integration with the cart. The other brands want 2 or 3X more just for full stainless steel and they are often made overseas. My grill has tons of stainless and the other components are aluminum and unlikely to rust. I do really like Coyote, but again I think Napoleon is better for a few reasons, like how the sear burner is on the side shelf vs in the main firebox. Overall this is a beautifully built grill that's powerful, durable, and a pleasure to use

New to the grill - and I'm a very experienced grill owner. I found some of the details about the grill missing and now well informed by the retailer I purchased from. Example, there was no mention of the extension cord needed (and power outlet) nearby to plug grill in to power light system. There is a stainless steel plate about the width of a credit card that came with the grill that was not mentioned by my retailer nor the manual. I had to go to AI to ask what it was to be used for.. still now sure I have that part right. Sparking unit on the infrared side burner did not work upon delivery. When paying this much for a grill, my expectation is higher.

Hi! Nate, Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear parts of the setup and ownership experience fell short of your expectations, especially with a premium grill. We also see that a warranty claim has already been started with our team under Case 02445819. Please reach back out to the agent handling your case so they can continue assisting with the igniter issue and any replacement parts you may need. Your comments about the manual and the missing information regarding the lighting system and stainless‑steel plate are appreciated, and we’ll be passing this along to our product team for improvement. If there’s anything else we can do in the meantime, we’re here to help.

I owned a Weber Genesis for 15 + years and never had as many hot spots or have the burner tubes constantly need to be cleaned. I think maybe in that 15 years I had to clean the burner tubes once. Still have the old grill in storage. Will be selling this Napoleon.

Smoked mac & Cheese with seared/ shredded chicken breast and bacon. Yum!

Great built quality and attention to detail. Love the thick stainless steel grates and the infrared burner.

Fantastic grill with great grill grates, infrared side burner and infrared rotisserie. I have been using the grill in the dead of winter and it has heated perfectly and maintained the desired temperature. Love the lighting inside especially when grilling dinners when it is dark outside.

Asked by Bob | Answered by poogie124Hi James. Unfortunately Napoleon does not support conversion of their grills. They do not manufacture conversion kits, and converting your grill would void its warranty.
Asked by JAMES | Answered by Joey, BBQGuys ExpertI was told "no". Any conversion on this grill must be done by a certified gas fitter AT a certified gas fitter's location. I bought the Prestige Pro 500 Natural gas model online because I was told I COULD NOT buy a propane and convert it myself.
Asked by JAMES | Answered by mitchfam4It is a NG product
Asked by JAMES | Answered by poogie124Hi Abigail. If covered, that should be ok. But I would recommend storing it away from the weather in those conditions to be safe.
Asked by Abilgail | Answered by JoeyGreat question Owen! The change from the Napoleon PRO500-1 series to the PRO500-2 series was the introduction of the safety control knob being red when the burner is engaged; a safety feature that helps indicate at-a-glance if the burner is still on when it shouldn't be. The changes from the Napoleon PRO500-2 series to the PRO500-3 series is the introduction of the LED Color Spectrum lights and the Proximity lighting that displays the Napoleon logo on the ground in front of the grill; providing additional lighting to the grill for evening entertaining. If you have any questions, please give our Customer Service team a call at 877-743-2269. We would be happy to help you!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
