I am very happy with my first few cooks on my WWSG. I have reverse seared a couple NY Strip Steaks and smoked a couple Pork Butts and a Brisket Flat. Coming from a electric smoker, this thing is amazing. Construction of this smoker is very good, and feels like it will last a long time. I haven't specifically tried, at the time of writing this, using the Slide and Grill feature but its very easy to switch between the 2 different cooking modes as I have done that to clean out the smoker. Assembly was fairly straight forward, a little difficult to install the legs alone and would be much easier for that part of the assembly to have a second person, but I did manage alone. Using the build in controller is easy and having the 2 build in meat probes is also a plus. The sear box is a great addition. Saves me from firing up my separate grill just to sear off food. It gets very hot and i got instant sizzle when i put my NY Strip Steaks on the Sear Box. Cleaning up everything is a breeze. I have been doing a light scrub in the sink and putting the grates into the dish washer. I do really enjoy this smoker and would highly recommend it for its cooking ability, build quality, and easy of use.

I carefully reviewed the different grills available and decided to purchase the WoodWind Pellet Grill with Sear Box. The grill itself was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The only issue is that the sear box igniter is not functional so I have to light it with a butane lighter (will be contacting Customer Support about this). Other than that, it is simple to use and clean. So far I have been able to grill some ribs and tonight some ribeye steaks. All I can say is "Wow!" The ribs were for a family dinner and everyone loved them. They were very flavorful and tender. The steaks were even better. I did a reverse sear according to the Camp Chef recipe and they were perfect. I can't wait to really put this to good use with other food. My next adventure will be smoking a whole beef brisket for a holiday party. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I highly recommend this grill.
I have now used my Woodwind a dozen times and I am rockin it with meat. My family is so impressed with the quality of the food I almost hesitate ti tell them how easy it is with this grill. Sometime I say I have to "check" the grill just so I can hang out in a lawn chair and watch the grill Gods work their magic. So far I have made pork tenderloin, chicken, brisket, ribeyes, pizza, ribs and chops. I even threw on a veggie or two to provide a balanced meal. No, I don't have any pictures of my grill, that would require me to set down my cocktail, no review is worth the separation anxiety I would feel for my liquid grilling inspiration. I can say that everything I cook on the Woodwind turns to grill gold. What kind of grilling alchemy is within those metal walls, one shudders to contemplate. Be a hero, get a Woodwind.
I got my woodwind about 9 months ago and it has changed everything for me. I THOUGHT I was a pretty good cook...now I get family and neighbors ASKING me to cook for them. I've smoked meat in the past on charcoal, and it's was good.. but the woodwind makes it easy. Just pick your temp and walk away, and using the sere box... we'll wait until you do a reverse sere steak.

I've had my Woodwind for about 7 weeks now. I've done whole brisket, pork shoulder, reverse seared ribeye, leg of lamb, burgers, pork tenderloin, lobster, shrimp, chops, ribs, vegetables..... you get the idea. This is a real review based on real experience. Summary - Buy this pellet grill. It is all pros with no cons, just a few clarifications. Delivery/Setup - This is a high quality grill. Some competitors (at 3-4 times this price) tout quality American construction and push down what they call assembly line grills. This thing is quality. I ordered it on Monday it was here Thursday. Setup was very easy compared to a grill you pick up at a home improvement store. The pit is one quality piece of metal. Put on the legs. Put on the lid. Attach the sear box. Go. One critique on the sear box is that the instructions aren't clear. It's simple enough, but there are a number of locking washers that aren't mentioned at all in the instructions. Not rocket science to figure it out, but still. Performance - First off, if you read the reviews that say this thing doesn't produce smoke, ignore them. There had to be some serious user error there. This thing produces a lot of smoke (see pictures). Now, there is a convection fan inside the pit, so you're only going to see the smoke billowing out when it is heating to maintain temp. Other than that, the smoke is working in your food. That's what you want. Flavor - Out of this world. Everything is ridiculously delicious. I've used the champion blend that came with the grill. It was superb. I purchased some Traeger champion blend from a hardware store locally. Also superb flavor, but more sawdust to my eye. Right now I'm using lumberjack pellets because of the variety of flavors available to mix and match (garlic, red pepper, etc). You really can't go wrong so long as you have actual hardwood pellets and not a bunch of fillers. Use - This thing couldn't be easier. Feed the pellets the first time. Set the temp, preheat, put the food on, leave it alone. It's that simple. Every time you lift the lid, you will lose 20 degrees of temperature. This will mess with your cook time. So generally, don't peek. There is one situation where I will lift the lid, however, and that's if I want to get some more smoke. The flow is like this.... lid opens, temperature lowers, pellets feed, smoke billows. Every single time. You can't mess this up. The temperature probe is accurate and reliable, but I dont use it too often. Instead I picked up a wifi thermometer so that I can monitor the temps on my smartphone while I am doing other things. The module also supports multiple probes, which is one thing the Woodwind can't do. Cleanup - Here are the caveats. Grill God lied to you, my friends. Yes, there is a handy dandy ash clean out system. But think about the mechanics of this grill. You have a convection fan inside circulating smoke.... and ash. The ash stays underneath the heat distribution plate, but it doesn't stay put in the heat little clean out chamber. This isn't a big deal for a short quick grilling session, but when you're smoking a brisket for 20+ hours, you're gonna get ash build up. I keep a small (4 inch) sweeper broom and dustpan underneath. After a smoke, simply sweep up the stray ashes and dump them right in the fire box cylinder. Then use the ash clean out system. Not a lot of work, but you need to have the right expectations. The heat distributor plate and grill racks will also need to be removed and cleaned every single time. My process is simple: Pull those out, toss them in the slop sink in the garage, spray with natural degreaser, go sweep out the pit, empty the ash, clean out the grease bucket, go spray down and quick scrub the racks and distributor, leave it all out to dry. After a long smoke (14 hours +) expect a half hour of clean up. This will get faster as you develop a system, but still well worth it for the quality of food. In closing, buy this grill. Phenomenal quality and value. Absolutely everything tastes fantastic on it. And I mean everything from the leg of lamb to the standing rib roast to ordinary burgers and brats. You're good will taste like you are a 5 star chef even though you only put in 2 stars worth of effort.

I received my Woodwind as a Father's Day present and I couldn't be happier. This thing does it all!!! The grill/smoker will reach 500 degrees consistently and the sear box hits 900 degrees in no time. Low and slow smoking, grilling, baking...I haven't found anything the Woodwind can't do. For those complaining about "lack of smoke," it's no industry secret that pellet smokers don't smoke out tons of smoke. Don't be hating because you didn't know what you were doing. That said, I've smoked, wings, pork butts, briskets, pork loins, wild game and all sorts of critters on my Woodwind and I can't say the smoke was missing in any of them. If I won't a a heavy smoke flavor, I use an AMZN tube. Otherwise, I knew what I was buying and have been impressed and satisfied from day one with my Woodwind.

The Camp Chef Woodwind Pellet Grill with the optional Sear Box is the most awesome Smoker/Grill that I've ever owned. I have plank grilled both Salmon and Swordfish and the results were phenomenal. Very simple and easy clean up. I also decided to try a "reverse sear" on some steaks and was thrilled with the results. I have been singing the praises of the Camp Chef Woodwind to all of my family and friends and have given several of them samples of the fish and steak and they all agreed that it was the best they've ever tasted.
We bought this a couple of months ago and we have done chicken, ribs, steak and hamburgers on it so far. It cooks everything to perfection and tastes absolutely delicious! It is pretty easy to put together and very easy to use. We love it! If you're on the fence about buying this grill don't be. Buy it . You won't regret it. You'll be cooking and eating delicious food as often as you want with this grill.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
