I love this oven! I bought in late April 2020 and used all summer throughout fall before finally wrapping it up for the winter. It does take time and research to master the oven but that's why I bought it. To learn the art of real pizza and bead baking in a wood fired oven. I also discovered that I can use it for a lot of other cooking. Steaks, chicken, vegetables etc all with that wood fired flavor and heat. As well as deserts. You-tube videos and books are a must in the early stages.. they help answer a lot of questions and techniques required to get going to where you feel comfortable at what you're baking.

So after doing a lot of research I decided to purchase the Forno Venetzia Pronto 500 33 Inch pizza oven. First off the quality is top notch. I love the finish, all of the seams are perfect. It doesn't leak heat, sealed very well. The first time I used it I couldn't get it up to temperature. I was rather frustrated. However what I realized is once you get your fire going well and push it to the left back corner place the door where it doesn't fully seal in the opening, leave about a 1" gap on the right hand side of the door and this baby will heat up. Got it up to 800 degrees. I purchased this oven because I wanted one that could handle two pizza's at one time. First off not necessary, this will cook a 10" pizza in about 2 minutes and a 14" pizza in about 5 minutes. Secondly trying to juggle cooking two 10" pizza's at one time was not fun nor easy. Maybe with more practice I could do it. I also purchased pizza screens. So I start with my pizza's on a pizza screen for about 1 minute, then pull the screen out and finish cooking the pizza. That has helped me tremendously in being able to get a nice firm crust on the bottom and handle the pizza while it is in the oven, with turning. All in All in I am very pleased with my purchase. I have also cooked pork chops in a cast iron skillet. Forgot how fast this thing cooks and they were a little over cooked, but with practice will be fabulous. Looking forward to cooking many different items in this oven and continue cooking pizza. 14" is about as large of a pizza as will fit, with the fire inside. I prefer to cook 10" pizza's.

Questions & Answers
Hi, Nicole. A granite counter works well for the Forno Venetzia pizza oven, however it may discolor over time. Forno Venetzia requires a clearance of at least 2 feet from the oven to the nearest combustible material.
Asked by Nicole | Answered by WesleyI have this unit- I have used it a few times for pizza- I use it mostly for cooking meals. Pizza takes patience and perseverance until your get you dough right. Also, some toppings should be pre cooked ( chicken etc), and do not overload your pizza. Less is more. The unit is very heavy, so I would cut another piece of granite to sit it on. I do not know if the base of the actual oven has posts that may crack granite.
Asked by Nicole | Answered by lheftI dont know about the heat on granite but think itll be ok. It needs to be well supported under the granite so it wont crack Very heavy Get Outlook for iOS< https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
Asked by Nicole | Answered by jgersbachHello! That width does include the side shelf! The width without the side shelf is 33 inches. If you need more measurements to ensure it'll fit, you can see a table of dimensions on page 3 of their manual! You can find that here: https://cdn.shocho.co/sc-specsheets/FVP500_Assembly_Guide.pdf
Asked by Popun | Answered by KaylinHi Gloria, thanks for asking. This oven isn't designed to fit the width a regular sized pizza with the fire in the oven, but it has the length to fit the two personal size pizzas which are usually around 8 inches in diameter. If you have any other questions please message us on Live Chat or call 877-743-2269 and we'll be happy to help.
Asked by Gloria | Answered by HunterHi Joe! Yes, the outside of the oven does get hot, but not the stand itself so it still should be safe to have on your deck for use.
Asked by Joe D | Answered by HunterHello. Forno Venetzia pizza ovens are manufactured just outside of Shanghai, with Forno's own team of engineers overseeing production and quality assurance.
Asked by creekrisen | Answered by JoeyHi Bob. According to Forno Venetzia, you want your oven to be at 750 - 800 degrees F and the refractory brick floor of the oven to be at 650 - 750 F when you put your pizza in. It will take several minutes to reach and maintain optimal temperatures. Forno Venetzia states in their manual your should let your fire burn for at least 15 minutes once fully built and pushed to the side in order for the oven to reach temp. Once the pizza goes in, it should be done in 2-3 minutes tops.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
