Probes are often inconsistent with meat temperature and I often have to use a separate thermometer to confirm the actual temperature. This was the problem with the initial set of probes which came with the thermometer. When the probes work correctly, the thermometer is great.

Probe is excellent for bar b que, but for grilling its maximum is 572 degrees. Most of the times I grill at temperatures which exceed the maximum for the probe and the smart hub will indicate dashes, vexing. Weber please develop a new probe with a maximum of at least 700 degrees, we need a probe that can handle the heat! The probe is still good, but limited.

I just bough\t this device last week. I was getting ready to use it tonight. I got it unwrapped and looked at it. There are no instructions with the product. So I went back to the website and was looking at the reviews. There I found that I can't use this product without another device. Hmmm! That would have affected my purchase but the website didn't disclose that. fact. It should. I can't really rate this product since I can't use it ! Now your review is telling me my name is to short even though it's supposed to be two letters. Amazing!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the ambient temperature probe. Unfortunately, there is nothing on the probe to tell the temperature for your grill. There are regular thermometers just with a probe as well that have the digital read-out. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

What can I say. My kettle is now a smoker. It's awesome. I use this with the igrill 2, which is a quality product. I have seen some complaints that the metal clip that holds the probe to the grates don't match the grates on the grill. That was true for me, and to those complaining I say "lighten up, Francis!" Different grills have different grates. Get some pliers and sort it out. Took me all of 5 minutes.

I use the ambient temperature probe in conjunction with a temperature controller for my smoker that does not display exact temperature. It makes it possible to hit and hold precise temperature and notifies you when the smoker needs attention. Great product!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
