Vitamix 64 Oz. Low Profile Wet Blade Blender Container - G-Series - 16228

A big piece of the plastic broke while using My low profile container. I feel the plastic was not strong ebough.

I have had my machine for over five years. The only thing I don't like is the tall container. I was able to buy the 64oz container that is shorter and ise it on my creations. I think a collar/adapter for the drive gear should be offered for the difference in size. I am not likely to buy a new machine, bit the investment in the pitcher/wet container was a great option. This container seems to not stain as much as the original one that came with the unit.

I have the low-profile 64 oz container and it fits nicely underneath my kitchen cabinets. However, there's two things about this container that you should know. 1) The pristine container will eventually dull over time and usage - in the same way as a car headlight eventually dulls over time. When I first bought my Vitamix, the container was crystal clear and beautiful. Now, after countless smoothies over the years, the acidity from the fruits/vegetables have dulled the container. It's still usable but it just doesn't look as good cosmetically. Vitamix says to clean the container with a vinegar and water solution. I've tried that and also soaked the container as instructed. Unfortunately, it doesn't help with the dullness. 2) The lid is made of rubber which looks great when new. However, over time, the inside of the lid also dulls with use. The rubber lid will get a funky odor that won't go away no matter how much I scrub or soak it. The dullness and odor comes from the acidity of the fruits/vegetables that I use for my smoothies. This is inevitable. The removable lid stopper has small crevices in it that loves to catch residue from whatever you're mixing. It's impossible to clean the lid stopper crevices. I took a small knife to scrape off the residue and even that didn't completely clean it. My solution was to spend $16 for a new lid from Vitamix. Later, I'll pony up the money to buy the new 64 oz clear container with the clear lid. I still love my Vitamix Pro Series 750. The blender works great and the dullness/odor only affects how it looks cosmetically. I only wish that Vitamix would've designed the lid and container better for a blender this expensive. My review is only for the lid and container, not for the blender itself.

the vitamix blender is a great investment ! super sturdy , clean , and durable. Have the whole family hooked.

I bought this about 2 months ago to replace one that I had broken (not the product fault, totally my own). It's great because it can sit under the counter, is incredibly strong and really easy to clean. It's so strong it should last for years!

It does not seem to blend as well as the standard 64 container for some reason which is disappointing and inconvenient at times.

Wish I could return and get the regular tall container. This container is HORRIBLE. It doesn't pull things down to the bottom to chop as well as the tall container. It is poorly designed. There is no way to make ice-cream without chunks. I freeze milk in ice trays, and there are always milk chunks. If I let it run long enough to not have chunks, it turns into a runny milkshake rather than ice-cream. Wish I could exchange for the tall container like I've had for the past 7 years. It was perfect. So disappointed.

We have had our VitaMix for several years and the pitcher was stained from various ingredients used in smoothies. My wife wanted a new pitcher, so when I ordered the new one the new style was available for my older model. The new one makes my machine run smoothly and quieter.

I bought this machine as a replacement for my prior Vitamix. I like the idea of the wider, low profile because I thought it might blend a little better. It really doesn't. Actually now I have to blend on a slow speed first to make sure I break up the big chunks, then high, then low again. On my old Vitamix, I just put it on high for 30 seconds and was done.
