Vitamix 64 Oz. Low Profile Wet Blade Blender Container - G-Series - 16228

I bought the low-profile 64-oz container recently. We had the standard version previously and I don't prefer it. I wish I could exchange it. It requires more liquid to get it to blend properly.

The Low-Profile is perfect for under the cabinet location. For something I use every day this just made so much sense.

I bought this jar and find that it blends almost as well as the regular height container for my usage, mostly smoothies with fruits, veggies, and greens. Great that it fits right under my cabinets! But....the pour spout needs work and I have no idea how the current design made it out of the first round of testing. Any liquid with any kind of thickness simply overwhelms the pour spout. I have tried going slow enough to have my smoothies pour exclusively through the spout but that made it take forever to fill my glass. Pouring at regular speed (of the taller jar) means that you flood over the pour spout. At that point you might as well just pour out of the side of the jar itself and ignore the spout. Also, the larger based sometimes allows some food to escape the blades. I blend my drinks for a minute and yet I have had whole blueberries and raspberries still in there. I think they get caught up in a vortex rather than getting pulled into the blade. This only happens in this jar. My taller jar with the smaller base blends everything like a champ. I wouldn't buy this size again and storing the container next to the base is not a space constraint for me. If you have the space, then skip this container and stick with the regular profile jar for a better blending experience. The regular Vitamix base is AWESOME! The regular profile jar is AWESOME! The low profile 64oz jar..If I could get them to swap this stupid thing out for the larger one I would. Used the settlement coupon and feel like I wasted it.

I like this blender jar container better because the foods don't get stuck and need to be pushed down like in the old tall bottom-narrow container. However after only using only several times(blending smoothies with frozen fruits), the inside wall of the container near the bottom around the blade is already seen scratched. I guess it's a problem with plastic blender jars in general and is not specific to Vitamix. The hard, frozen fruits get spun at high speed causing scratches.

I bought a new low profile vitamix container. It arrived quickly and was the high quality fit and finish I expect from Vitamix. The container fits on the blender and they fit on the counter under the wall cabinets.

This container fits under cabinet. However, the taller container does a better job at blending. I prefer the low-profile.

Even though I have every size container available. I use this one all the time. This one has a nice wide opening, so it is easy to clean. Because it is low in height, it fits under cabinets. It can be used for any amount you are making.

I bought my Vitamix replacement container because our last one was so cloudy and gunky at the bottom, yet the new one is already getting cloudy after using every morning for only a month. The measurements are now how to read. I've followed their cleaning suggestions and tried others, yet nothing works. Cheap plastic.
