Terrific tabletop grill

I bought this grill two years ago and have been totally pleased. We use mostly for my wife and I so we didn't want a large/standard size grill. This Cuisinart has been great. It heats up fast and cooks quicker due to its smaller internal volume so uses less propane. As other people have reported, it does tend to burn hot, but when turning both valves to their lowest setting doesn't work, I simply turn one of the burners off and keep the cover closed. I bought an adapter (make sure to get one with a shutoff valve) to fit the small disposable tanks for portability. I will definitely recommend this grill and would buy it again.

Great Item.

The legs are poorly cut and also fold too easily when setting it down. It preheats great! The flare ups are frequent and bother some people, but don't affect my cooking.

Disappointed

I love the way the grill cooks. However, the grill drips grease all over what ever you have it sitting on. It seems the grease leaks through the seams where the fold-up legs are and pools around the legs on the table or, in my case, my fireproof mat. In addition, the knobs are made of a chrome plated plastic and has a black plastic insert that actually engages the gas valves and they get so hot, it melts the knob inserts.

Needs better knobs

The dial knobs are made out of plastic. When the grill get hot the plastic knobs melt and they wont turn.

CGG-306 Total disappointment!!!

The CGG-306 has a nice eye appeal to it, but that is about all. It does heat up quickly as well...However you have very little control over the temperature setting and maintaining a constant temperature. Also I find that the slightest breeze adversely affects the temperature, making it almost impossible to grill with. I have had Cuisine grills in the past and loved them...this one I warn you, stay away from.

Finally a small grill that cooks like a big one!

This is very well-built and stylish unit. I mounted mine on a stainless steel kitchen trolly for ease of roll-away storage, and it looks and works great for the two of us or grilling for small gatherings.

Don't Hesitate

Great portable grill, would have gave it 5 stars but the knobs were stripped so i couldn't use it untill they shipped new ones. However, customer service shippped it overnight. As far as the grill, it like having your backyard grill with you. Burgers, dogs, asada, it can do it all.

Question:
1) Can this product be placed on plastic portable tables? 2) can rust be formed on the surface of the grill? 3 or more years out..Was This Helpful?
Answers:

Hi Ash! It is not recommended to use this on plastic tables as the heat can cause the plastic to melt. It is rust resistant due to its stainless steel construction, but like all stainless steel, it can rust if the steel gets chipped or damaged. So, it is best to clean vigorously if any spots are seen.

Question:
Does not look like there is a lot of room between the grill and the top of the cover to be able to cook anything very tall? How much room is there exactly between the grill grate and the top of the cover? ThanksWas This Helpful?

Hi Marc. The height from the cooking surface to the hood ranges from about 2 inches in the front to 4 1/4 inches in the rear.

Question:
I'm looking for a portable grill to set on top of a built in grate into an outside masonry fireplace. Dimensions are important due to needing to fit into a space of about 24 inches wide x 20 inches deep. Looking for clarification regarding the dimensions of this grill. Is there a diagram explaining what is considered depth vs width vs height for this grill? Was This Helpful?
Answers:

Hi grillz. We measure product width from side to side, depth from the front of a product to the back, and height from top to bottom. The Cuisinart Chefs Style tabletop grill measures 21.25" wide by 19" deep and is 15" tall.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
