Works as advertised and provides for even cokking.
The spit sticks in the motor and comes out only with wresting I anticipate years of pain on that. The extension may simplify your manufacturing and model compatibility, but it's another point of failure. The bracket is flimsy. And yes, it blocks the side burner. My Genesis Silver B rotisserie was better designed and made. Disappointed, Weber.

The rotisserie is well made and sturdy. A suggested improvement would be to add a wooden handle to make it easier to remove the spit when hot.

Got this to do a prime rib and there's no way the roast would rotate due to poor design the rod is too low I don't think you could do anything bigger than game hens.
I bought this two months ago and it works well. I wish I had more time to cook.
The rotisserie is poorly designed--I put a professionally trussed pork tenderloin on the skewer and took the grill grates off and put a low profile Weber foil pan under to collect juices. The tenderloin kept hitting the foil pan even when I bent the edges of the pan down. I had a wonderful Weber rotisserie set-up for my previous Weber gas grill that wore out after 10 years, I replaced the grill with the Genesis II of the same 3 burner heating technology because I loved the grill size and I kept the old rotisserie unit to use on the new grill. I have used the old rotisserie many time on the old grill including 3 fairly large chickens for a crowd of 12 hungry folks--all 3 chickens on the spit at one time. THERE WAS PLENTY OF CLEARANCE SPACE and I saved the juices in a pan for gravy. Now to fit the new Genesis II, I was FORCED to purchase a new rotisserie (because the old one didn't fit--why not I asked myself--its the same set-up(the holes in the motor bracket were the same on the old as on the new grill)-therefore the old spit must fit--no it was too short and doesn't fit the motor alignment). I made the purchase and found a new somewhat flimsy skewer shaft--have to screw it together from 4 pieces--all left hand threads--its some what wobbley. I centered the meat and the spear tines barely grabbed the out side diameter of the meat. I put it on the grill and the meat walked the foil pan--I wanted the juices for a gravy. No Luck--how could I ever do a turkey or a chicken or even the rotisserie ham you show in a tantalizing picture here on the Weber Site--there is no clearance. I cannot recommend this rotisserie, nor can I recommend the grill--they ARE MIS-MATCHED and some of your literature is mis-leading. Hey--why is there a metal handle of such small diameter that its HOT and tiny in a man's hand--the old rotisserie had a solid large wooden handle grip--do your people not know that metal conducts heat--Did anyone really test the grill and rotisserie combination? Well, it was Father's Day, we had friends in and I persevered, but I am highly disappointed and very concerned about your engineering and feel that I was duped and I will remember this as the Holiday that Weber let me down! Customers--Do Not Purchase this Rotisserie--I am stuck with a dog of a unit!

After discontinuing the Genesis E330 which had an also discontinued rotisserie with the loop on the non motor end they replaced it with a rotisserie with a stupid 8 inch handle on the end which disables the sideburner. The loop on the end of the discontinued rotisserie was DESIGNED to NOT disable the sideburner. What happened to "Weber engineering"? I have been a loyal Weber customer for 4 decades. It took numerous calls to customer service which has become nothing but a call center to understand that the new rotisserie protudes over the sideburner, thus disabling it. I have the new and poorly designed Genesis 2 345.

Don't like the new handle, old one was wooden. blah

This product needs a fat wooden handle like it used to be made. This model has a small diameter metal handle that is difficult to manipulate. So much harder to season the meat (whole small chickens) due to the small diameter. This handle also gets very hot when on the grill and stays too hot when time comes to take the meat off the spit. My old Weber wooden handle rotisserie is too short to fit my new Weber grill.

Got the rotisserie for Christmas. Used it last week for the first time. The chicken was perfect. Setup was really easy, and cleanup was a breeze. I did remove the grilles and flattened out the drippings pan, and had no problems with the chicken turning properly.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
