we had it for maybe 2 years before it completely failed. compressor bad, no freon so kaput. Plus other issues where the feeder tray system failed and i had to MacGyver things with a sponge to stop pressure leaks but still no joy. Nice looking doorstop tho

I have had this ice machine for 5 years and don't have a bad thing to say about it. I winterize it at the end of each season(I am on the east coast) and it works perfectly every year.

This is a terrible ice maker. The ice melts in the bin. The ice is not cubed, it comes out of the tray in sheets. The ice maker worked for about 6 months and then stopped working. Now trying to decide if I trash the unit or get it serviced.

I am on unit number two in five years. The manufacture helped me on the first unit but now says sorry it is out of warrenty and can't help. They charge a premium for their product but sell you a unit good for 2-3 years max. Don't buy Blaze!

When it worked, it was great, but after only a few years nothing but problems. Ice freezes over the condenser continually. On my 3 attempt to fix. Given the price point, this thing should last longer - and I'm in NY where I only use it 1/2 the year. I'd buy something else.

Don't waste your money on this product! Blaze does not have parts to repair and replace. We have had our ice maker 5 years and it has been nothing but aggravating to get it fixed. Never produced fully frozen ice cubes. Now it's completely not working at all. Not happy!

Asked by Melissa | Answered by davidguggiThe system makes sheets of ice that fall into the bin. As the ice fills up the distance for the sheets to fall is shorter so they don't always break up completely. But the ice sheets arent hard to break up with a little jostling in the bin using the provided metal scoop. As for the melting, this happens over time since the system is not a freezer. It just continuously makes ice as the sheets in the bottom of the bin melt. It's actually pretty efficient. For the quality, I actually had my system break once and had to return it to get a replacement. The Blaze team was great and the entire process was free of charge. The return was a bit if a pain, but they set up the pick up, which was nice. I've been very happy with it since last September when it was replaced.

Asked by Full cooler | Answered by TiffanyHi Gunnar! This ice maker is made to perform between 50 - 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is to go above or below those temperatures then power to the unit must be cut (either unplugged or trip the breaker - turning off the unit is not enough). Running the unit outside of the approved temperatures can lead to components to fail. There are also instructions for long term storage on page 17 & 18 of the manual. Hope this helps.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
