The product is junk it jams up after 6 uses and won't ignite waste of money
Bought my grill about 2 months ago and I grill or smoke on it at least once every week making plenty to last days. the 1st thing I did was a slow burn out (burn-in) taking the grill up to 200 once the grill had started and left it there 20 minutes then 250 for 20 minutes then 300 for 20 minutes then 350 for 20 minutes then 400 for 20 minutes ... baked on the paint (saw this idea on youtube and it works) I love my Pit Boss Pro 820 plenty of room to grill or smoke for our church cookout spring and fall no more standing over a grill and turning chicken wings and coating them the entire time they are cooking and battling flare ups. I smoked a pork loin like never before ... there are a lot of youtube videos using a pellet smoker and the pit boss has the ability to set it to smoke and keep the temp at the desired lower temp, 180F on one smoke. treat it right the 1st time and every time, read the manual there is a lot of great information in there.
I bought this grill the end of May in 2019. I use a lot and really like the grill. The only complaint I have is the Igniter went out on the 17th of April of this year. The new Igniter is covered by the 5 year warranty so far all is good right? WRONG!! Danson's really let me down on this! I received the new Igniter on 06/28/2020. It took 2 and 1/2 months to get here. I heard so many excuses from they blamed everyone they could think of when I called and asked about it. From he gave you wrong info, shipment is late, China's fault, Federal Government everything except Danson's.

I set my temp on 200....or so and mine gets hotter than 400 . what the heck Pit Boss ??? :(
I bought my pit boss 1 1/2 years ago. I love cooking on it. I do have 1 complaint, the auger stopped turning so I watched a video on how to take it apart. Everything was pretty much smooth sailing until you remove the screws from the control panel and your supposed to feed it thru the opening which I never could get it thru. Then the allenwrench screw is impossible to get a small wrench on the nut to hold it so you can use the allenwrench to take it off. I've been working on this for 2 hrs. I am so frustrated.
Trying out my new pit boss for the first time on some ribs. It was going pretty well then all the sudden the temp goes down and the smoke stopped and the temp nob turned to smoke on its own. I looked under the plate and the hopper was full but nothing lit. I was able to restart it but it shouldn't have stopped to begin with, we had to finish cooking in the oven which we were trying to avoid. Not sure what to do with it, return or to try again.
I have the 820 series and we use it for everything. Pork loin smoked is out of this world!!!! But my question is even when I am on Smoke 200F it is still cathing fire , I have flames and the grillle is clean seams that the metal grill doesn,t close completely. Do I need to replace it? and if yes where do I order it from?
Bought this to be able to smoke meat. I have never smoked anything. Made Stuffed, bacon wrapped meatload and smoked at 250 for 3 hours. DELICIOUS. Today I smoked burgers. Pit Boss Pro 820 makes it so easy. Best grill I have ever had.
Purchased this bad boy from Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. I've never owned a smoker and I've never attempted to smoke anything. Let me tell you, this grill far exceeded my expectations. After the burn off and seasoning I got down to some serious smoking. Ribs turned out awesome. Pork butt could have been better, but that was my fault. Grilled some burgers without issue! BUY THIS PELLET GRILL!
I purchased this a month ago and am very pleased with it's performance & sturdy piece construction. My first smoke was a pork butt I started on "smoke" that I crisped up by opening the flame broiler. 10 hours on low & slow produced a great smoke ring with charred outer fat thanks to the broiler. I've grilled hamburgers and steaks over the flame broiler, ribs & pork butt on smoke & even smoked salmon steaks a couple of times. This grill is sensitive enough to grill/smoke fish & robust enough to hold 400 degrees to grill steaks, hot dogs & burgers...& it's easier to maintain temp than electric Masterbuilt it's replacing.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
