Traeger Insulation Blanket For Junior And 20 Series Pellet Grills For Winter Grilling

I was having a problem getting the grill to temperature. The blanket is the answer. Also it slows down the pellet usage. Every on the the northern states should have one. Also fits the Cisco grill.

We purchased the insulation blanket to use for our Thanksgiving turkey. The blanket was delivered promptly; it was easy to install; and it really worked. Our Lil Tex 22 BBQ always had widely fluctuating cooking temperatures when we used it. Using the grill with the blanket resulted in near constant cooking temperature readings inside the grill ( or - 2 degrees) and resulted in a perfectly smoked turkey for our holiday meal. Thank you for a product that actually works as advertised!

I did a brisket this thanksgiving in Minnesota with an outdoor temp high of 28 degrees. Cooked for about 8 hours and used only about a quarter of the hopper of pellets. Also when you need to open the lid the temperature comes back up extremely quickly. Definitely well worth the money.

This insulating blanket is perfect for cold weather grilling. It gets the grill up to the proper temperature quickly and maintains that temperature beautifully. Nice consistent cook times even in winter!

Anyone living in North Dakota knows it's going to be hard to cook outside in the fall and winter. I purchased the Traeger thermal blanket a couple of weeks ago and have now used it twice. The first time with two stuffed chicken breasts in late October and more recently for a full 12 lb. turkey this past Sunday as a trial run for Thanksgiving Day. Both times the thermal blanket worked as advertised. While cooking the turkey the ambient air temperature started around 23 degrees and was 19 degrees before I finished. The temperature on the Traeger was set at 275 and actually held the entire 3 hours at right around 277. (the two probes did their job as well) What was equally impressive is that I hardly used any of the apple pellets. My expectation was that I'd have to watch that closely but there were very few used. I would highly recommend this blanket for anyone wanting to use their Traeger grill throughout the cold fall and winter months. I'll let you know the results on a below zero temperature day later on this winter.

Wow I can't believe how well this blanket works. We've had our first wave of 20-30 deg temps. The grill temp was rock steady. I used less pellets cooking in the cold weather than in the summer without the blanket. Needless to say I will be using it year round to save on pellet use.

Haven't used the blanket yet. Love my Traeger however the only disappointment is that it doesn't 'smoke' like a smoker. The smoking setting is ok but lacks in the heavier smoke that traditionally flavors the meat and limits the temperature to 160degrees.

This product works very well. The negative is due to the weight it bends the brackets mounts on the lid and the brackets. Unfortunately my grill is 4 years old and They don't make the brackets for it any more.
