This santoku is ideal for mincing, slicing and dicing. The curved bolster makes for a smooth transition from handle to blade. Great balance, comfort, and excellent sharpness for precision cutting.

This Pro 5.5" Santoku a perfect length for someone who's looking for not so small or not so big on their hand, at the same time you'll have perfect control for the knife. Comfortable and balanced size, will quickly become the go-to knife for everyday tasks. It's the most easiest to sharpen, it has a unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster. Whether chopping, slicing, or dicing, the broad blade are comfortable in the hand. This can is a vegetable knife, large fruit knife, and a meat knife as well.

The three virtues of the Santoku knife are - Slicing, chopping and mincing. The shape of this blade is designed for lots of chopping. The innovation is with the bolster- Curved, half bolster with a rise between the blade and handle is comfortable beyond compare. Put this knife in your hands- you'll feel the difference. Excellent knife!!

This Pro 5-inch is a good example of great chopping knife. It is made with one of Zwilling's best quality steels so it will keep its edge as well as stand up to a lifetime of use. The innovative angled bolster is easy to grip, keeping the thumb and forefinger in the correct position for maximum control. And it has the hollow grooves that reduce friction and cuts down on the food riding up the blade and getting in the way. As much as I like this knife, I prefer longer knives, otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars.

A great Japanese style blade from Zwilling Pro, you get the blade that's best for chopping, while having a sturdy and durable blade with the special formula stainless steel. The curved bolster provides the ultimate comfort and grip of the knife from blade to handle. The 5.5" santoku knife is a nice in between size, smaller in length, but still a wide blade to chop through produce easily.

This is by far the most favorite knife my daughters use on a near daily basis. At their ages and in training them how to properly use a knife, the 5.5" blade is perfect! It's always nerve racking training your children to cook, especially when it comes to using a knife; but give this one a try, you'll love it! Just like my daughters do.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
