Customer Reviews
This is my first smoker and after much research I feel couldn't have made a better choice. I've now made dozens of chicken breasts, two 14lbs turkeys (simultaneously, there is plenty of room in the 24") for Christmas Eve dinner, and venison burgers. Everything has come out fantastic. Temperatures are very stable even in windy conditions. An excellent product and well built.
Just purchased this past month. I read reviews and selected this one as it can be converted to use natural gas. Camp Chef does give instructions on how to do this, and it does require you to drill larger hole in the valve orifice. This will not allow you to go back to propane without a new valve assembly per Camp Chef. However, when I got this, I examined the valve assembly and saw that the orifice is a brass plug that can be screwed out. I took the valve assembly to my local gas supply dealer and was able to purchase another orifice that fits the valve assembly in a smaller size than what is needed for natural gas. I drilled the new one out instead of the propane orifice that came with the unit. So now if I want to switch back to propane all that is needed is just to switch out orifices. No need to buy a valve assembly. I have only seasoned the smoker at this point, but it assembled OK and seems reasonably well built for the price range. Looking forward to using it soon.
I did a lot of research on smokers because I live in Northern PA and it can get cold around Bear and Deer season when I smoke for camp. I was looking for a smoker that was large enough and could smoke brisket at 20 deg for 13 hours. This smoker has delivered with everything I've thrown at it. I've smoked Brisket, ribs, meatloaf, wings, almonds, chickens, etc. Last year my wife bought me 2 more grates and the cover. I love it all. I would recommend this smoker to anyone...and I have.

I bought this for my husband he just loves it he is enjoying his new smoker
I have had mine about a year. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Grest for smoking deer and I made the best turkey I have ever cooked.(including frying one) Only issue was the thermometer. It was off by several degrees. Had to get a dual thermometer. Once I figured out how to adjust the controls, it does a great job.

My 24" Smoke Vault does what it advertises. Holds temp well and is easy to clean. I've smoked over 20 meals so far and it has performed perfectly. I recommend it to anyone shopping for a new smoker.
I converted to natural gas and love being able to not worry about running out of propane. Natural gas does not burn as hot as propane but if you are smoking slow and low it works great. I found the grates and water pan should be cleaned after use and removed then stored inside so they don‰ЫЄt rust. Great for smoking turkey, pork ribs and chicken. For Amazing baby back ribs dry rub and smoke for 20 min at 225 then keep cooking for another 2 hours then covered with tin foil in a shallow pan and finish for another 2 hours with bbq sauce.

ALL positive! Takes a couple of hours to get the hang of temperature control, but worth the study. Lots of room. Jerky {both turkey & beef} turned out super with hickory. Ribs to die for! Smoked Cod WOW! A tank of LP goes a very long way.
Finally broke down & went from electric to propane. This unit has the best temp. control I've ever seen! Great Jerky, Pulled Pork and Brisket! Very satisfied with low propane consumption. Thanks Camp Chef for a well thought out smoker. Bill
My 18" Smoke Vautl just arrived yesterday, very well packed, arrived quite Ok, very minor tears in the box. Simple to follow assembling instructions. Seasoned it last night, and doing my first attempt to smoke some pork shoulder ribs today. Will post after I get the feel of it. My first time using a propane smoker, so far I have always used a charcoal/wood. smoker!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
