This portable six gallon Cajun Fryer has two baskets to keep up with the demand of hungry party-goers at barbeques, tailgating parties, fish frys and other outdoor events. Each basket can hold 12 - 15 catfish filets at a time and can feed 35 - 40 people per hour including fish, fries and hush puppies! This 6 gallon fryer is even capable of frying turkey (one at a time) for your holiday feasts. The specially designed burner / flue is positioned six inches above the bottom of the oil reserve and is at a 45 degree angle, preventing the food batter from collecting on the heating element and allowing it to fall to the bottom of the reservoir. Since heat rises, the fire burning inside of the burner / flue is able to safely heat the oil for cooking, while the temperature below it never gets hotter than 120 degrees, so it will not burn or scorch the batter. This keeps the oil clean so that you can use it repeatedly, giving you an estimated 70 percent reduction in oil use. The thermometer on the front allows you to monitor your oil temperature. A drain valve is located near the bottom of the reserve for easy cleaning. For portability, it comes with a stand with 8-inch wheels.

I bought the 8 gallon fryer first my wife absolutely loves it she suggested we get another one for our cabin. I can't say enough good about these fryers. The only issue is they are always on back order, stands to reason I gues.

I'm actually amazed by this fryer. What I was even more amazed by were the folks at BBQGUYS! They busted their humps to get this fryer to me in a crazy timeline. This product which is just rock solid is second to the rock solid team of people at BBQGUYS. When I say I can't thank them enough I really can't. And again....I love this fryer so much, I have 2. And will be ordering another.

We have several fish fry for several years . And used another cooker . We saw this one and decided to try it and this one just amazed all of us . We cooked 60 lb of crappie and bluegill in 1/2 the time and it keep the temperature perfect. All the fish turned out great!

Hi Jeff! This fryer will hold 6 gallons of oil. As a general rule, pour oil into the fryer until it is 3-4 wires from the top of the baskets. Do not overfill, it is easier to add more oil than remove. Hope this helps.
