This portable four gallon Cajun Fryer has two baskets to keep up with the demand of hungry party-goers at barbeques, tailgating parties, fish frys and other outdoor events. Each basket can hold 8 - 10 catfish filets at a time and can feed 25 - 30 people per hour including fish, fries and hush puppies! The specially designed burner / flue is positioned six inches above the bottom of the oil reserve and is at a 45 degree angle, preventing the food batter from collecting on the heating element and allowing it to fall to the bottom of the reservoir. Since heat rises, the fire burning inside of the burner / flue is able to safely heat the oil for cooking, while the temperature below it never gets hotter than 120 degrees, so it will not burn or scorch the batter. This keeps the oil clean so that you can use it repeatedly, giving you an estimated 70 percent reduction in oil use. The thermometer on the front allows you to monitor your oil temperature. A drain valve is located near the bottom of the reserve for easy cleaning. For portability, it comes with a stand with 8-inch wheels.

Easy to assemble, easy to clean and easy to transport. I love how easy it is to keep the oil temperature at a cooking level.

Works great. The only thing I wish it had was a proper cover. The small top only cover doesn't really protect it from the elements on the deck.

Could not have purchased a more durable fryer. Great for our family/neighbor fish fries. Worth the wait due to COVID shutdowns. Customer service was on spot with assistance.

For the price I would expect a better finish and higher quality workmanship fryer brand new out the box with blemishes and very poor paint quality, was full of metal shavings, and oil drain ball valve handle runs into exhaust so it will melt the handle and be to hit to touch very disappointing for the amount of money spent.

Remove the propane tank, drain the grease. You will need a couple people to load. Not so heavy but cumbersome. If you don't mind that then there you go. To me would be a real pain

Asked by John | Answered by JohnHi Keith! There is a thermometer on the front of the fryer to show you the temperature you are at. You will regulate the temperature by using the needle valve, opening the valve to increase the temperature.
Asked by Keith | Answered by KeithHi Brandon. The 4-gallon Cajun Fryer takes approximately 12-14 minutes to reach cooking temperatures when using liquid propane gas. Natural gas will take longer to heat the oil, environmental temperatures will also play a factor in heating times. This fryer does not include a cover.

Filtering your oil at least once a month will help keep the foods you fry tasting good as well. You'll know it's time to change your oil if it's become clouded, foams up or has a rancid taste/smell to it.
