Very convenient for every day use. I can use with my 3 qt saucepan, 2 qt saucier and also with 4 qt d5 Saucepan. Mostly I used for broccoli, green beans. Time saving, space saving steam pot. I love it !

I bought this steamer insert to avoid getting one that sits on the bottom of the pan. What a great decision. The steamer fits perfectly on top of the pan and no more worries about scratching the bottom of the pan. It's a win win. I love it. I will be purchasing the double boiler insert next.

This is a wonderful steamer! It's not only beautiful sitting on top of my D3 Polished Stainless Steel 3 QT sauce pan, but it's very functional too. There's plenty of room inside so asparagus spears can fit without being cut and the long handle is great for leverage and keeping far away from steam.

I have several excellent microwave steamers. I used to think that steamed vegetables were merely steamed vegetables no matter how you get it done. So, I didn't realize what I was missing until I used this. It works so well and simply and the results can be tweaked to steamed perfection.

This was a perfect addition to my wife's 3qt. D3 saucepan. She steams a lot of veggies and of course we love the quality and performance of Allclad.

I received the 3qt D3 pot for my birthday last year, love the beautiful look, the weight, and the performance of All Clad is just superb! Then I discovered the steamer! How did I live without it? I I use it with the 3qt pot practically every day to steam veggies, strain pasta. All Clad is just beautiful cookware! I also have the 1 qt pot and several fry pans. As one reviewer noted the steamer handle is slightly shorter than the pot handle, I'm sure it was designed that way so you can more easily grab both handles, these pieces work beautifully together. My cooking is elevated because of these products and the fact that they are made in America is an extra bonus! My only negative comment is that it would have been helpful to show the steamer on the same page as the pots, I would have purchased both at the same time.

Looks strange because the handle on the steamer is 2" shorter and wider than the handle on the 3Qt pan. My pan is new too. Matching handles would have looked nicer. Thinking of returning it.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
