the doors on the grill are held on by steel brackets which eventually rust and the doors fall off, but the grill is still in great shape. so now I have a grill that works, but has no doors. who was the person that designed the grill to last but the doors fall off?

BBQ is great. TheS-460 installation manual is quite unhelpful when describing the gas hookup. The manual describes a hookup only when the gas feed is in an adjacent cabinet. This is not a common situation. It is much more common to have a gas feed behind the grill. Why can't the flexible metal hose go through the back of the grill cabinet, as opposed to only through the side of the grill cabinet? This causes a great deal of confusion. Suggest you rethink the installation manual.

It's my first Weber and I'm loving every time I use it, from morning breakfast meals on the griddle that I bought separately to lunch and dinner meals. Its my outdoor kitchen!

no assumbley instruction . you gotta figure it out by yourself. for such a price they could include the instruction as well. I am sure you gotta pay extra for it.

No where besides the manual does it say it requires a separate cavity and door for the propane tank. The tank will not fit in the area below the grill because they now made a huge drip tray catch unlike previous webers. Without having the tank in a different location the parts won't assemble properly. Also, the trim kit is only meant to be installed around counter tops without an overhang off the face of the stone. Two good things to mention without having to dive into the manual. Quality seems very good and well engineered and thought through other than that.

grill is great but the plastic knobs broke after 3 months also hinge hardware is not stainless steel and rusts causing doors to possibly fall off (happend to my last model after 3 years but beachfront)

I actually bought the a replacement cover. My old one was weathered and cracking. That said, my old one was more of a plastic material that pit so much snugger than this one and it had extra hook to keep i attached to the grill. The new one is a softer fabric and already it has blown off the grill once. In some ways it may be nicer but others not. I will have to see how it withstands weather but for now it is just OK

Thank you for taking your time to provide feedback! The new cover for your Summit Built-In grill should have straps on it to attach it to the grill for better protection. It is also made of a polyester that protects against rain, UV rays and other outside elements. Please contact us if you have any issues.

Built a new 3 season room and chose the Summit to be our BBQ grill for that room. Outstanding choice especially utilizing the natural gas supplied to our home. Looking forward to using features such as the smoker and the rotisserie. For now, however, just basic grilling and the Summit has done the job. Looks good too!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
