This MHP gas grill features a high profile, thick, cast aluminum no rust exterior housing that accommodates large cuts of meat and features a Sta-Kool handle which rolls to make opening the hood easy. The two (2) SearMagic cooking grids offer 365 1/2 square inches of cooking area. The anodized aluminum SearMagic cooking rack is reversible with one side wide-ribbed for grilling steaks, chops, burgers or ribs and giving them sear lines. Flip it over and its smooth surface is perfect for fish, vegetables or even breakfast foods such as French toast. The 30,000 BTU stainless H-type dual burner has burner ports that are uniform in size and shape with even flames on each port providing superior cooking performance. Includes black, aluminum post and black, Nu-Stone patio/deck base mount with stainless steel tubing, one (1) stainless steel side shelf and stainless grease cup for easy clean-up. Warranty
Modern Home Products (MHP) offers a lifetime warranty on the top and bottom castings, control panel, stainless steel shelf brackets, in-ground/patio base post, stainless steel and sear magic cooking grids and stainless steel burners. The porcelain briquettes and infrared burners are warrantied against defects for a period of five (5) years and all other components including ignition system, valves, Nu-Stone side shelves, control knobs, patio base and rock grates are warrantied against defects for a period of one (1) year. All paint is warrantied for thirty (30) days. MHP also offers a one (1) year warranty on all parts if installed in a commercial, multi-unit or community use location. Labor not included.

This grill is used near the ocean, but the aluminum and brass components hold up. Occasional burner replacement (every 4-5 years) and once a decade rock grill replacement. This grill is not trendy, it just works and works as it should. Bear in mind that I purchased this grill over 35 years ago. One tip: reduce the number of ceramic briquets for faster heat up. Full set not needed unless you have a vast volume of drippings.

I grill at least three times a week. Summer winter spring and fall. I may not shovel snow from my front walk but I always shovel a path to my grill. This is the perfect size for my space and needs It has a push button start and I can operate one side or two. Love my new grill !!

arrived quickly, excellent grill — I'd been hunting for a specific size due to location on existing deck, the customer rep was very helpful and went out of his way to confirm the dimensions with the vendor.

After using my grill in my house for 6 years-I was forced to rent out my house due to the economy for 2 years. My tenant destroyed everything in the house and really tried to destroy my mhp 48000 btu grill. Even had a tree growing in it.I had to smoke out a bee hive in the base.After a 5 hour cleanup that included some pressure washing-It came back all the way to new.Still works and cooks even just like bran new.Great stainless steel grate and great choice of brass and steel fittings.Even the grill rocks are the very best and the side burners igniter still worked after 9 years.I.m a chef and owned a few restaurants.Great stuff for the house!! REALLY!

Asked by Karen | Answered by KarenHi, Joe. It depends on who manufactured the grill for Sears Kenmore. As long as the mounting lines up, the post would not need to be replace. But after 45 years, it might not be a bad idea to replace it.
Asked by Joe | Answered by JoeHi Kristi, we recommend placing any grill at least 3 feet away from any building, especially homes, to avoid irreparable damage. The post for this model also needs to be built in ground, but can also be built in to concrete.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
