The first time I used this grill the wind kept blowing flame out... I ended up heading into camper and used the stove. The second time I setup out of wind and used coleman LP bottle, I was able to keep it lit but the infrared burner burned every meal I made...the first time I thought I was not attentive enough, the second and third times I kept burning the meat. The burner is a infrared searing burner you would find on the side of a grill like my Napoleon home grill. Temp is basically uncontrollable, juices flare up sending temp out of control.

I love this grill, though there is a learning curve when it comes to not over-cooking or burning your food. The grill is practically self-cleaning: if you leave it on "high" for ~5min after removing your food, residue on the cooking grate or drippings will be incinerated. The quality of the materials used to make this grill also seem top-notch.

We use when RV camping. The unit is lightweight and very portable. It gets plenty hot in just a few minutes. The drawback is wind. Won't stay lit! Will try some shielding next trip. Hopefully will solve or at least mitigate the problem.

Grill Cooks great and has decent weight for longevity. 14000 BTU burner is adequate and Cooks good but grates although stainless is light and food draws the heat from it quick if you put too much on or temperature is cool outside. Still a satisfactory unit that will do more than most once you adjust to infrared cooking.

We've had the Solair for a year now, figured that was long enough to provide an accurate assessment. My wife loves to sear vegetables and fruit. Zucchini, summer squash, corn on the cob, artichokes cut in half, jalapeño's cut lengthwise and stuffed with a cheese mixture recipe, pineapple slices, we also do ahi tuna. Although it works well on other meats, we generally do other meats on a large ceramic lump charcoal grill as we like the distinctive fire flavor. The Solair is faster however as you're ready to cook 4-5 min. after lighting, charcoal is 30 min. minimum from light off.

I love my big Weber Summit grill for its rotisserie and slow cooking, but have been dissatisfied with cooking steaks, etc. even with the sear burner on high when compared to a charcoal grill. However, not wanting to deal with the mess of charcoal led me to purchase the Solaire Everywhere. Absolutely amazing--I will use the Weber only for special cooking after using this. Ready in 3 minutes, uses very little fuel, cooks fast, and cleans up in 5 min. And now all my friends want me to bring this with me to their house!

Questions & Answers
The cover is well constructed but not waterproof. Put in a trash bag first. YES! You can easily boil water or use pots/pans. Awesome grill
Asked by Thomas | Answered by ThomasHi Thomas. The Solaire Anywhere works great with pots and pans and can certainly handle boiling water! You'll just want to make sure any cookware you use can fit on the cooking surface. As far as choosing between the standard and marine grade Anywhere versions, that really depends on what kind of environments you plan on using it in. If you'll be using/storing it in a very humid or salt air environment, the marine grade model would be a better choice. The carrying bag is made with water-resistant vinyl fabric but it's not fully waterproof, due to the zippers.
Asked by Thomas | Answered by ThomasHi, thanks for asking! This grill is not designed to cook with the lid closed, the hoods are single-skin and will change color from the high heat if closed during use. This is also not covered by the warranty. The good news is that you don't need to close the hood because of the infrared burner - you don't need to trap the heat. If you have any other questions or concerns, reach out to us on Live Chat or call us at 877-743-2269
Asked by Happy Camper | Answered by Happy CamperGreat question! The Solaire Anywhere has the taller lid. The grill with the flat lid is the Solaire Everywhere. They are similar grills, but the Anywhere comes with a carrying bag and is taller than the Everywhere.
Asked by MB | Answered by MBAbsolutely! You'll just need to hold in the ignition button to allow for gas to move through the valve.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
