Blaze Vent Hoods: Clear the Smoke, Keep the View
The fun part of building an outdoor kitchen is grilling in the great outdoors, but the smoke and fumes from that grill need somewhere to go. Smoke carries grime and grease that cling to every surface of your outdoor space, and over time those substances can corrode, stain, clog, and damage your grill and outdoor kitchen. A vent hood's job is to pull that smoke and grease out before it can cause any of that damage. Blaze vent hoods do exactly that, removing smoke and keeping grease out of your exhaust ductwork. They also come with 4 adjustable lights to illuminate your grilling space, so you can cook comfortably even after the sun goes down.
Built from 304-grade stainless steel, these hoods use 6 commercial-style baffles and 1 or 2 high-performance, 4-speed blowers depending on the size. They're rated for up to 2,000 CFM to clear your patio of smoke. CFM measures the volume of air a vent hood can move, and it depends on a few factors like the hood's construction, the number and size of its blowers, and your ducting setup. More CFM means more smoke gets moved, for a more comfortable grilling experience.
When sizing a vent hood, look for one that's at least 3 inches wider than your grill on each side and at least as deep as the grill itself. Blaze offers vent hoods in 36, 42, and 48-inch widths, each with extra depth built in. That added depth lets you install the hood higher above your grill than a standard hood, keeping the space feeling open rather than crowded.
