This is a great smoker for just about anything. I do my regular burgers on it but I also have cooked pork butt and and beef brisket on it. Definitely worth the money plus coyote customer service is great.

Been through a few smokers and decided to make the investment to a real quality smoker and I found it with coyote. Worth the investment, It holds temperature better than any smoker I've owned and looks fantastic.

I like this grill's laser-cut cooking grate and warming rack design, especially the adjustable warming rack with its two height settings that easily attaches to the grill. The front-loading pellet feature is also convenient and provides excellent, set-it-and-forget-it performance, delivering a nice smoke ring on brisket.

Bought this grill in August, 2022. In the 3 1/2 years I've had it, it successfully cooked exactly 5 times. Every other time I tried to use it, it had jams that required the grill to cool down and be disassembled to un-jam it. With the help of coyote customer service, I replaced the augur, the augur pin (multiple times), the igniter and the entire hopper/augur assembly. It still never worked after it started developing jams despite all these replacements. I paid more than $3000 for it and in the end, after 5 successful cooks, it is garbage. It's literally getting hauled to the dump. Coyote offered me 1/2 off a new (basically identical grill), but they haven't fixed the hopper design. It's a broken design and they shouldn't be selling it. They don't stand behind their product. Don't believe the astroturfing positive reviews--I discussed in detail with Coyote. They haven't fixed the hopper design at all.

I did over a year of research as we prepared to build our outdoor kitchen. I had owned 3 Traegers previously and was looking forward to having a built in pellet grill. I purchased the 36" coyote pellet grill in early 2025. Almost a year later I can't fully express what a disappointment and waste of money this has been. Like other reviewers, I didn't want to negative reviews to be true. Here are the primary issues: the temp sensor isn't close. I've been monitoring with my ThermoWorks air sensor to confirm and it is often off by 30-50 degrees! The fire pit accumulates ash and the fire goes out. Long cooks are not possible. I've had multiple failed briskets as a result. The pellet auger just dumps massive amounts of pellets at times and cause massive overheating and fire! I had a fat heavy wagyu brisket that caught on fire and required a call to the fire department due to a pellet "dump" into the fire pot and then flare up and literally catch the brisket itself on fire. Overall just very sad. Spent thousands on a full coyote outdoor kitchen and will not have to find a different unit and potentially a new piece of granite cut if the new unit has drastically different dimensions. Believe all the negative reviews. You don't want this unit; especially if you have pellet grill experience. I'd do anything to have my Traeger back.

The bad reviews are true. I had this grill for a month and there were constant issues: 1. Trips dedicated 15 amp outlet/circuit breaker. 2. LCD screen is not reliable and when you hit buttons they do not always respond to touch. 3. The grill goes into an error state and shuts down randomly. The only way to start it back up is to cut power and restart from the beginning. Coyote's non-pellet grills may be great, but I adamantly recommend avoiding their pellet grills.

I purchased the Coyote Pellet Grill Gen 2 and have been disappointed from day one. The grill consistently way hotter than the set temperature, making it nearly impossible to smoke food properly. The temperature on the screen is not anywhere close to the actual cook temp. Coyote's customer service sent out a replacement control board, which I installed but it made no difference. I've seen other online report similar problems, and it seems to be a recurring defect. For an expensive grill, the lack of effective support and resolution from Coyote is extremely frustrating. I expected premium performance and service, but instead, I'm left with an unreliable product that can't maintain basic temperature control.

I've had a horrible experience with this pellet grill. So many problems. My Traeger worked flawlessly and I have several other systems in my outdoor kitchen. Have had so many problems getting it to heat up consistently. Now the LCD stopped working. It's 18 months old. Horrible experience with this product.
Questions & Answers
Hi RH. Because of all the variables in environmental temperatures, very few grill manufacturers will list a top temperature. However, the laser-cut grates on the Coyote Pellet Grill definitely help with searing.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
