Works as advertised

I was nervous based on things I had read but glad I took a chance. This pellet grill is awesome. Holds temp exactly where you want it to. Searing plate for steaks is great. Temp probes are great. Only negative I can think of us is no wifi capability. I've only had a few months but have cooked on it probably 20-30 times. Very please with it. The free cover is a little cheap. I wouldn't spend what they charge for one. But the grill is a 10.

Fantastic all around smoker and grill

I am beyond happy with the purchase of my Coyote Pellet smoker. I have smoked low and slow and seared steaks at 650 degrees. Its also a great looking! Very glad I chose this to anchor our backyard kitchen.

Great gift

I am very happy with this grill. It was show piece on backyard. This grill is awesome and well worth the money. Great for dads that enjoy grilling out but have to multi-task with kids. This grill maintains temperature very well due to its double wall design. 3 fans inside is great for smoke.

Easy to cook

I know nothing about grilling or smoking. This pellet grill takes no effort and makes me look like an pit master. I bought this 5 months ago and have used this over 60 cooks. So far it has held up very well.

I love this grill, but 1st gen may have bugs!

First off, I love using this grill. Upgraded from an old Grand Turbo that came with my home to this beast. Pros: - Temperature control: It typically stays at temp 99% of the time but will fluctuate at times within about 5 degrees. - Flexibility in what and how you can cook: I have gone as low as 195 for overnight brisket cook to 600 to use as wood fire pizza oven. I typically don't use the sear feature as it can get a little to intense, but instead manually set the temp to 500-ish and sear for 3 minutes on each side for perfect char on reverse seared steaks. - Easy to Load Pellets: The front loading pellets is a fantastic features and very easy to use. - Design: The look of this grill is really eye catching. Everyone that has seen this grill is immediately impressed with it just on looks and design. Cons: - Temperature alarm: I'm still pretty new to smoking, but you learn very fast that you don't cook based on time, but temperature. Coyote built in a great probe system, but failed to provide any type of intelligence around them. Having just a timer and not a temperature alarm is a huge miss by their development team. - Lack of WiFi: I went in knowing that feature was not available, but if they really wanted to compete with the big dogs of Memphis and twin eagles, they need to consider adding this feature in future generations. Without a temperature alarm on the grill, you will find yourself going back and forth from the grill frequently as you monitor your cook and wait for it to hit that final temperature. I would give this grill 5* if the auger didn't break within first 100-200 hours of use. Hopefully coyote delivers on their warranty and provides the needed repairs to get this beast back up and running. When i spoke to the wholesaler who will be coordinating the repair, they mentioned that they have already done a few full grill replacement already.

Do you know if Coyote has any plans to include WIFi with newer models?

Hi Xbirdo. Coyote has not mentioned any plans for WiFi on newer models, citing safety issues.

Question:
How is this pellet grill secured in the island to keep it from getting stolen? I am currently building my island kit that I bought from BBQ Guys, and have yet to see in any installation instructions, how to secure this item. Other than changing the password, it seems vulnerable.

Answer:
Hi, Mike. Similar to all built in grills, the Coyote Pellet Grill is kept in place by simply sliding in to the cabinet cut out. The weight alone keeps it in place.

Does this have a gas line option or only pellets

Hi Wayne, this model is designed to use only pellets.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
