Broil King offers a limited lifetime warranty on the cookbox (which includes lid, control panel & housing). The stainless steel Dual-Tube burners is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years. The stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system, stainless steel grates are warranted for five (5) years. All remaining parts and paint are warranted for two (2) years.

Broil King continues to be part of my life for over 30 years, from my first BBQ ever purchased from "Consumer Gas" which I still have the carcass (after a 15 year long life...see the picture) to my recent acquisition a Regal 490 Pro. Also a Broil King pellet smoker purchased a couple years ago. All the Broil King products are made to last, simple as that!. I tried a couple of the higher end competitors products, one failed miserably after a year and a half and the other is still running. I find that the New Regal 490 Pro has just excellent temperature control (as does my Pellet Smoker) and great temperature uniformity. It's construction with Stainless Steel (double walled!) fire box and cast aluminum sides will surely last a lifetime. And to boot, I know I always have a great customer service experience when something is required. Quick response to emails and chats to answer questions, whether it questions on differences between the various models or ordering replacement parts. | Excellent Quality GrillThis is actually a 4½ star review. I recently purchased a Broil King Regal S490 Pro IR grill. I have been using it for a month, so this is a preliminary review which I will update in the future. Here are my initial observations: 1. This grill is extremely well made. It replaces a Monument Grill that was ok, but not the same quality as the Broil King. 2: The Broil King has substantial mass, which helps it to cook evenly. So far, its ability to cook evenly is a big plus. Several online reviews claim that the Broil King does not get hot enough. That is not my observation. It gets plenty hot (600 degrees if you turn just the two middle burners to high). You just need to give it some time to heat the grill mass. 3. The roll-out propane tank stand is a Godsend. I have arthritis and not having to bend over to reach the propane tank valve makes me smile every time I use this grill. 4: The stainless steel grills are literally industrial. They are so substantial I have to use the supplied tool to lift them. 5. The grill cover is very high quality with two handles, heavy fabric and good stitching. It makes the cover on my expensive Kamado grill look like a joke. 6:The included infrared rotisserie and sear burner start up immediately, but have not cooked with them yet. That will be a future review. 7: The assembly instructions are all diagrams. That worked ok for most of the assembly steps, but having online written instructions in various languages would have been helpful. 8: The bolts supplied to attach the right side shelf were at least a half inch too short. We lifted the shelf until it was metal on metal but could not get the nuts started. A 20-minute trip to the local hardware store and that problem was solved. 9: All grills must be kept clean. You don't want grease and oil to build up too much in your barbecue. It's a little bit of a chore to clean everything on this grill. That's not a big issue for me because I tend to cook greasy/drippy foods on the Kamado, where everything drips directly on the coals and burns off. 10: Bottom line, this is a quality well built grill. | Great BBQI have owned my Regal for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. I have had a number of bbqs in the past and nothing even comes close to the build quality. Also everything I cook turns out cooked perfectly. Had never tried rotisserie cooking before now I do chickens and roast beef to perfection. | This is the best grill I have ever ownedI love this grill. It gets hot! The temperature control is excellent, with the possible exception of low temperatures. It is difficult to maintain a low heat,280, for example The only way I have been successful, is to use one burner, and then, my smoker boxes don't work as well. That is my only complaint. This is well designed, and well made product. That should give me great service for years to come. I am sorry I did not but it years ago, instead of all the ones I did purchase. | Was This Helpful? |

| If you can't handle the heat........don't get a Regal! Amazing heat. The steaks cook so well. Heats up so fast and stays hot. If you are not used to a Broil King - Regal, like I wasn't, be mindful of that heat. Once you get used to it, you will love it. Only thing that would be great is if they had pans that you can clean right under the grill. My last BBQ had this, I never had a flare up. With the heat of this BBQ if you are cooking something fatty or marinated it in olive oil, watch out. Flames a plenty. | Was This Helpful? |
| Love itPurchased only a few weeks ago,love the size of the cavity also the flat top allows me to warm plates on it while the dinner cooks. Things We Love:
Broil King's Regal and Imperial Series Gas Grills are top of the line for Broil King, especially the Imperial. They are a great value and are loaded with many great features. Some of my favorites include: control knob lights that are great for night time entertaining, storage shelves inside the cart, tool hooks with side shelf bins, and pull out tank drawers for the propane models. The Imperial Series also feature a pull out drawer in the side shelves, as well as interior oven lights.
I really like the Stainless Steel Dual Tube Burners. This Dual Tube design creates an efficient double row of flame, powered by a high BTU, which results in solid, high heat output. The Regal Series comes in 4, 5, and 6 burner configurations, and the Imperial Series comes in 5 and 6 burner configurations.
The Regal and Imperial Series also feature the Broil King Stainless Steel Flav-R-Wave flame tamers which are great. Above the Flav-R-Wave's, I love the heavy gauge, 9mm Stainless Steel thick and durable cooking grids found on the Regal Series. The Imperial Series cooking grids are even better and tougher, made of reversible Cast Stainless Steel. These reversible grids create steakhouse sear marks on one side, and the other side is grooved to capture juices for continuous basting.
I love that these grills come with a side burner and rotisserie. The side burner is perfect for creating mouth-watering side dishes, soups, or sauces while you grill. The powerful 15,000 BTU Stainless Steel Rotisserie Burner comes complete with a premium spit rod and motor, which delivers consistent even heat for excellent cooking results. The side burner isn't available on the Regal S420, and the rear burner isn't available on the Regal S420 & S440.
From a durability perspective I like the Stainless Steel Cook box with cast aluminum end caps, backed by a limited lifetime warranty. The Regal XLS and the Imperial XLS feature two independent stainless steel cook boxes that offer the ability to sear in one oven, while cooking at different temperatures in the other oven.
Things To Consider:
While the limited lifetime warranty on the cook box is great, the warranty on the remaining grill components is lower than several other competitors. Also note there is no ceramic infrared sear burner available.
