Keeps shutting off

The company we hired to install our outdoor kitchen uses Blaze appliances so this is the frig that was installed. Problem is every time we lose power for a couple of seconds the frig turns off and does not come back on when the power returns. So it has to be manually turned back on. I expect it to work just like my indoor frig. Otherwise if it stays off for any length of time the smell and everything in there goes bad. They say they built them this way on purpose so the compressor doesn't keep trying to come on and go bad. Don't recommend unless you are never going to go anywhere.

Fridge died in less than 5 years

Had the fridge and it worked great for like 2 years, then started having minor issues: tripping the circuit breaker, and front display was wonkie. During the winter (I live where it can get cold) I would unplug it and leave it like that until April or so. This year (year 4) it just stopped working. For the price, that's a lot of money for 4 years of use. We are now shopping for a new one, and this fridge is not on the list.

It stopped working after 6 months

Very expensive to stop working in such a short period of time. Never really outdoors as our outdoor kitchen is enclosed. This should not have died so soon.

Expensive waste of money...

I had this fridge for about a year and a half before it started randomly turning off. It's built in to an outdoor kitchen, and the outlet is virtually waterproof based on it's location. I figured out that the gfci on the cord was tripping, so I could pull the fridge out, and reset the gfci, but it would always trip again after a couple of days. I put up with this for a while before it started tripping more frequently, and eventually every few minutes. At this point, I contacted blaze customer support. They recommended I purchase a new power cord. I couldn't find the power cord anywhere, so I just stopped using the fridge for a bit. Last year, I decided to get it fixed. I called an appliance repairman who contacted blaze. They told him that this was a known issue with this fridge, and sent a new cord at a cost to me. I can't remember the exact cost, but it wasn't cheap. Obviously this is upsetting. If there is a known fault with their product, why wasn't I advised that when I contacted customer support? Why could they not send me a new cord? And the biggest issue is why didn't they send it to me for free since this was a known issue? Well, despite all that, the fridge was working well for about 6 months with the new cord, but it's also hooked up to a gfci circuit. Low and behold, the gfci on that outlet started tripping randomly. This was about 6 months ago, but the same pattern continued from the gfci cord issue. A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't get the gfci to reset at all. That is, until I unplugged the fridge. Now it will reset, and everything else plugged in is working great. So it's the fridge... AGAIN. Do yourself a favor, and buy from another manufacturer.

Did not last and definitely not worth the money spent

We purchased this fridge and had it installed in our covered patio. About a year into having it, we started having problems with it cooling. Thought it might be storms or electrical issues. When we pulled it out, unplugged it and plugged it back in, it started to work again. Another year went by and the frequency of this issue increased. We didn't need beverages from it very often, so we didn't make a big deal about it. Less than 3 years into owning it and it completely stopped working. After reading reviews on another site, from people who have owned this fridge for more than year, this is a common problem. It's an expensive item to have it only work properly for a year.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
