Integrating induction technology with traditional gas for the ultimate in versatility and performance, the RN483GCS-S 48-Inch range includes a high quality ceramic cooktop with four indication zones that produce from 2,100 watts each with a power boost to 3,700 watts. Each induction zone offers instant and precise heat adjustment and negligible energy loss. When cooking with gas is desired, there is an 18,000 BTU brass power burner with simmer and a medium size 6,500 BTU brass burner. The power burner can turn down to 750 BTU to gently simmer delicate sauces and soups without scorching, or turn up to 18,000 BTU to quickly boil large pots of water for pasta cooking. The cast iron grates provide a continuous cooking surface, while the distance between the burners and the grates is precision engineered to deliver even, excellent heating. The cooktop is completed by an electric, stainless steel griddle with 1,200 watts of power. The 5. 7 cubic foot gas oven features two convection fans for even cooking and the 8,000 BTU broiler produces great results every time. This gas range also includes an 8,500 BTU, 3. 0 cubic foot auxiliary oven for even more baking options. The heavy-duty, triple layered glass door provides maximum thermal insulation. The oven door has a soft close mechanism, and due to its excellent cushioning and balancing, it can be left open safely in any position along its arc. It is designed with a fully flush internal surface, eliminating any screws or gaps for a sleek look.
