Bought in 1999

Just now looking for some replacement parts, best BBQ ever bought. It keeps even heat and it's hard not to turn out quality food every time. Doesn't take up a lot of space on the deck and doesn't look 22 years old as has held up good.

Bought in 1999, just now replacing parts

We can't say enough good things about this grill. We bought the A40 Natural Gas version from a local stoneworks/patio company back in 1999. Just now going online to hunt for some replacement parts (need to replace the brass valve assembly but while we're at it just going to do all the guts including burner/venturi/rock holders). The frame and head are still rock-solid and probably will last longer than any of us in the family will. Did the first DEEP deep cleaning about 2-3 years ago, took half a day of scraping, chiseling, and rubbing but removed about 1/2" of deposits from the inside, lo and behold there was the nice little "made in USA" embossed mark on the inside of the cover that had been covered in years of build-up. Reminded us why we bought this as quality item to begin with. Cheers!

Highest quality grill I've ever owned

I've spent a lot of money on these cheap (supposedly high quality.....lol) grills for years so after my latest CharBroil rusted out and broke in two, I decided to spring for this model grill. spending a few more bucks now will save me big time over the years because of the quality of this unit. I purchased the in-ground post and had my propane company hook directly into the whole-home propane tank. I also purchased the vinyl cover. It is now in the ground, plugged in and ready to go. I will leave another review after some months of use on ease of cleaning and quality but even the propane guy was impressed with the quality and is going to purchase one himself. The unit arrived on time, undamaged by R&L Carriers and I couldn't be happier with the overall price, quality and professional service. Thank you BBQGuys for making my life easier! Now excuse me while I throw some steaks on!

One heck of a grill!

We were looking for a smaller grill to add to our patio and decided on the PGS. So far, it has cooked great and has stood up to the weather solid. Great grill and value.

Unbelievable Grill

We've had this grill for about a month and it is by far the best grill we've ever owned. We grill 5-6 times a week and live in FL. We have gone through at least two grills in the last five years between our use and the extreme heat. The construction is solid like grills use to be made. If you are looking for a quality grill that won't need replacing for many years, this is the one. The order process went smooth and was shipped as promised. Dave at BBQguys.com was professional, yet personal during all telephone conversations. Order yours today, you won't be disappointed.

Avoid at all costs

Where do I start? I bought this thinking it would be high quality given that it was made in USA and also composed of high quality components. I was wrong. The problems started with the install. My contractor told me the ground post with base designed for deck wasn't designed properly. He installed it and to this day the unit still wobbles (the connection post at the upper is flimsy and the 4 holes with bolts are not strong enough to hold unit). The other fundamental issue is with the burner which doesn't output heat evenly. In our case the right side is weaker in output to the right. We had our local utility come in and measure gas output and we were very high and the technician said it was the design of the grill. The electric ignition failed after two months. The bottom grate rusted after one year. The burner assembly rusted and corroded after two years and inner shell is rusting and peeling. Overall, this is not worth the $1000+ price tag. The company that makes this product refuses to help. I would avoid this brand and unit at all costs, there are so many better made units at this price point.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
