- Natural Gas: To use a natural gas heater, you’ll need to have your space plumbed for natural gas. And while movement of your heater may be restricted because of the gas line connection, you may find it’s worth not having to repeatedly refill a propane tank. Natural gas also gives you the added benefit of being the hottest burning type of heaters, which will ensure your outdoor space stays warm.
- Propane: For outdoor heaters, propane is the most popular type of fuel because of its versatility. These heaters usually have their fuel sources hidden inside of them by way of a tank instead of being plugged into a gas line, making them truly portable. Simply change the tank when it’s empty to keep your guests comfortable even during cold evenings.
