Hi R. Magma does not require the base of the Del Mar to be secured. We have not gotten any reports of them being affected by wind.

Question:
Do you need to order the hose if you only plan on using the 1lb propane containers with the Magma DelMar pedestal grill. Does the hose make the magma Del Mar compatible with bulk propane cylinders?

Hi Jeff. The Magma Del Mar will accept 1-pound propane bottles. The hose can be used for 20-pound tanks.

Question:
I am having problems with this grill. I have to make several toys to get it to light. Then there is a small boom when it does light. I am also confused as to what parts should be cleaned. Right now there is some burned debris in the burner area. Should I vacuum it our?

Hello, could you please tell me what temperatures this grill cooks at on both low and high settings for example 200 degrees average on low and 500 plus in high etc.. Thank you very much.

Hi SK. Having checked directly with Magma, they have measured the high temperature reaching over 600 F. They have no information on the lowest temperature.

Question:
I just received my Magma Del Mar propane gas grill, after unpacking and adding the propane tank, the grill will not ignite. Is there a battery needed for the ignitor to work?

Hi, John. The Magma Del Mar uses a single-spark ignition that does not require a battery. We've found with this ignition type, regardless of brand, the best thing to do is to turn the knob slowly which will allow gas to build up before a spark is produced. When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
