The Skinny:

  • Proudly produced in America
  • Sleek, streamlined design
  • Radiant heat warms objects and people instead of nearby air
  • UL-listed for indoor and outdoor use

Things We Love:

Eco-friendly

Infratech CD-Series electric patio heaters are the perfect option for environmentally conscious buyers seeking heating solutions. On top of being built from exclusively recyclable materials, these models don’t give off any odors, ultraviolet light, or greenhouse emissions. Infratech CD-Series units, which are made in America, allow you to keep your space warm while remaining some of the eco-friendliest heaters around.

Energy-efficient

Using quartz electric elements, Infratech CD-Series heaters convert the majority of their energy into medium-wave infrared heat that’s mostly unaffected by wind. These models are already much more efficient than gas patio heaters, but you can also pick from a wide selection of duplex switch installationsthat allows you to use your electric heater at half-power if desired.

The quartz electric elements can run for up to 5,000 hours, filling your area with efficient and powerful heat for years to come.

Heats People, Not Air

The infrared heat produced by Infratech CD-Series models warms people and objects in its path for a deeper and more permanent heating experience. This is unlike traditional patio heaters that merely spread heat outward to warm nearby air, which can then be easily blown away by a gust of wind.

Thanks to this heating method, you can direct heat toward specific spots to keep your guests comfortable year-round. Infratech even doubled down on its effective infrared heat by giving its CD-Series models a dual element design for areas where significant heat output is necessary.

Safe for Any Location

You can have peace of mind no matter where you’re putting these heaters. They’re UL-listed for both indoor and outdoor use, giving you complete freedom to install them almost anywhere in your home or place of business. The included mounting brackets simplify installation, and you can further customize your heater placement by mounting it to a ceiling, wall, or pole using one of almost two dozen Infratech mounting kits.

Stylish and Sleek

In addition to everything else Infratech CD-Series heaters have to offer, they possess a stylish look uncommon among standard patio heaters. Their 304 stainless steel build is sleek but durable, and the radiant heat they generate emits a soft amber glow that won’t distract or annoy guests.

These models, which range from 33 to 61¼ inches, also come with inset brackets that give them a floating appearance when mounted.

Things To Consider:

Our Complimentary Outdoor Living Design Service can help you organize your heating plans, but there are a few steps you should take once you decide which patio heater best fits your needs. You should contact a professional electrician for installation, and it’s also important to consider the mounting options for your patio heater. Keep in mind that Infratech CD-Series heaters have an average heat area of about 49 to 121 square feet depending on the model’s size. Question:
Sorry I should have clarified with my earlier question. Looking to purchase 2 of these. Each plug they will be wired to is 240v, my question is becuase these are mounted up high is there a controller to turn them on or off? Just don't want to have to get on a ladder everytime I need to kick the heat on.

Answer:
Hi Chris. Actually, your electrician can wire basic 20 amp switches for each of the elements on the heaters, saving you from the ladder. Infratech does require the 240 volt heaters to be hard-wired by a licensed electrician.

Question:
I have a plug controlled from a switch, with this heater work with that or is a separate controller needed?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
HI Chris. The Infratech heater is 240 volts. Typically, a wall outlet is only 120 volts. We would suggest only using a 1500 watt heater on this circuit, assuming it is the only thing on it. You may want to consult with a licensed electrician to assess this circuit.

Question:
Hi - I'd like to mount this under a retractable sunbrella awning. The awning is attached to my brick home. How much clearance do I need above the heating unit.
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi MIchael. You need a minimum of 6" of clearance from the ceiling. You can see more info in the installation manual here: cdn.shocho.co/sc-specsheets/infratech_C-series_instructions_2019_050119-1.pdf

Question:
I know zero about these heaters....looking for something to mount under a wooden pergola-like cover I'm going to have built over my patio. About 15x20. Are they safe to mount against the wooden ceiling? Are they OK to get wet (we get lots of wind & rain). Do I need two to keep the whole area warm? What type of electrical outlets do I need installed? Do you have a favorite model that you recommend? Thanks!!!
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Kay! This heater needs to have at least 6-inches behind it from combustibles, 18-inches from the side and 36-inches from the front. It also needs to be a minimum of 8 feet from the ground. While this heater is all weather rated, it will last longer if protected from rain and snow. One CD5024SS heater will heat about 90 sq feet so you would need at least two for your 15 x 20 patio but this heater does not heat the area as well in the wind so you may need three. I would recommend getting two of the next size up, model # CD6024SS: bit.ly/2EPSQfT . Here is the manual to both units that tells you the average heating area (page 6) and clearance needed from combustibles (page 2): bit.ly/3lCgz41. There are different electrical outlet options available depending on if you get a single or dual element unit (see page 3 of the manual). Hope this helps! Give us a call at 877-743-2269 if you have any further questions!

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
