Trying to put together some nuts and bolts were hard to get to,not a one person put together smoker is very sturdy,only real complaint is it loses a lot of smoke around hatch door could use a gasket around door 1400 xl smoker

Recteq make good grills but are not good value compared to competitors and is way behind times in feature offering. No ash dump. No quick pellet dump, no true sear zone without using sear plates. The App has not worked well for at least a year and Recteq has not shown interest in adding capacity to its server. On weekends if many users are online (which is a lot of the time) the App will not provide Temp warning when the server bumps to capacity limits. The standard answer from customer service is that they are working it - but nothing gets resolved. So if you want to do a long overnight cook and want the unit to provide temp warnings (as they claim their product does, then you will have to buy a third part temp probe monitoring and reporting device and not rely on Recteq;s controller to warn you - a feature that you pay for but is very unreliable. There are much better value smokers on the market at the same price points that work.

Just received my Flagship 1400. Ribs and Burgers were great. Lots of room for sweet corn. First cook of Pork Butt I got in a hurry. The amazing part of ownership is the vast amount of people with great ideas and help that seem to be part of my new Grilling Family.

Our first recteq was the RT-370 (tailgate model) and my family has pushed that thing to the limit, especially the wife who tried to burn it down! Like the little train who could that thing kept on going and providing awesome smoked meals for my family & office. As the family grew we knew we needed something larger to feed the boys and the office as my smoked goods have gotten pretty popular.......needless to say we decided on the Flagship XL 1400 and what a choice! Impressed with the quality of build and the amount of meat we can fit on this smoker!! We've already done a pork butt, turkey breast, briskets, and all have come out excellent. My boss and a co-worker order the same setup the next week and are now new members of the recteq family. If your on the fence about this unit do yourself a favor and buy it already!!! You will not be disappointed!

I recently upgraded from an RT-700 to XL 1400. I like the larger screen and the beefed up base. Since this smoker is larger, I was worried about the low smoke mode. The new 1400 puts out plenty of smoke and put my concerns to rest. Great job Recteq!

Works great out of the box, built like a beast, best pellet grill I have owned hands down. Recteq customer service is second to none. Gonna be part of the family for years to come. Y'all follow @browndogbbque on IG cause its fire! Gotta get some!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
