Added this to my arsenal of outdoor cooking units and have absolutely zero regrets. The craftsmanship is perfect and it cooks not only perfect pizzas but awesome steaks and chicken in cast iron pans. I used to only trust the United States and Canada for top quality products but now I've added Italy to the list of high end products. Lifetime investment!! Having worked on submarine reactors for 38 years I know quality, this is it.
We are so excited to finally have our dream pizza oven. Our first fire was last weekend and although we followed directions our pizza did not turn out as expected. It seems that the bottom of the pizza wasnt cooked properly and the edges and top burned. Maybe someone could give us some pointers.
You will not regret this purchase, money well spent first quality all the way. Even better dealing with Philip, very kind very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company.
After researching for many months on all SS Pizza ovens out on the market I went with the Fontana Marinara Pizza Oven with stand for the following reasons. 1. First and fore most the customer service is outstanding! As I live in Upstate NY and have harsh winters (SNOW) I had many concerns about having a pizza oven remain outside year-round! When I spoke with them they answered all my questions and concerns very positively which put me at ease. 2. I wasn't sure on the size of the oven I wanted and after consultation with the team decided to go with the Marinara for the versatility of the oven on how much you can cook at one time. Pizzas, breads etc. 3. The Quality of workmanship of the Oven is first class. The steel shield on the left-hand side sets this oven apart from its competitors. This provides a heat barrier on the outside of that area and allows for heat retention in the oven. 4. The assembly of the stand was easy to construct, but did need 3 extra people to assist lifting the unit onto the base as they state in the video you do need. It weighs about 400lb. I also purchased the Cover which helps for the winter months. I have cooked pizzas twice so far and have turned out great. As you can see from photos! I got the oven temp close to 875oF on the first attempt which made me happy cooking Neapolitan style pizzas. Please watch the videos they have posted on how to start the fire and use correct wood. The drier the better! I love my Marinara Oven Thank you, Fontana Forni.

I've always made the mistake of buying something that comes in various sizes in a "small", only to find out that I would've been happier with a bigger version (just ask the folks at Traeger!). I didn't make this mistake with Fontana Forni, and went with the Marinara. It was packaged very well, was in great shape when we opened it, and it only took 6 of us to get the thing through the snow into the backyard (I said it was a beast, didn't I?)!!! Incredibly well-built and solid construction. We're planning on building an outdoor kitchen this summer, so built a stand to hold us over until then. My only suggestion about mounting the oven is to make sure that you have the oven sitting high enough where you get to both enjoy the beauty of the oven and fire, as well as to save your back! The folks at Fontana Forni have been spectacular to work with -- prior to the purchase I bugged them several times with questions and they were incredibly generous with their time. I've got a lot to learn about the oven, but even our "mistakes" have come out delicious. I really appreciate the recipes and videos, and have found some other great video series on You Tube to help with more ideas for the oven (ex. Wood Fired Oven Chef). We love the product and are looking forward to firing up the oven every time we use it. Can't speak highly enough about the product and about the Company - there are other seemingly good products out there, but the customer service at FF made the decision as to which oven to buy an easy one.
We got this oven about a month ago. I originally bought an Ooni portable pizza oven to use in our outdoor kitchen. My husband didn't like the idea so I canceled the order and got the medium size FF. After a day or two I changed my order to the large (marinar). We also got the saputo stones, the (less expensive) cover, and the riser. Fir the money I think the cover should be included. Other than that it's perfect! It's easy to learn and use. A friend of ours has had a pizza oven over a year and recommended that we not buy one. He said they've not been able to control the heat to make a decent pizza yet! (I think they have a Tuscan Chef). I've cooked chicken, vegetables, and steaks in ours. We LOVE IT.
This pizza oven has been the talk of every party. In addition to making spectacular pizza, it is the show stopper. We use this year round summer and winter. In the winter the oven gets too and holds temperatures without any issue even when it is 5 degrees F outside. We are moving homes and the buyer of our current house requested the oven and tools. So I am ordering a new one with all new toys. It is like Christmas!
We purchased a FontanaForni Maranara pizza oven. It was very easy to put together - everything lined up perfectly. We have used it 3 times now. Two for pizza and 1 for chicken. The oven only takes about 1/2 hour to get up to 700 degrees floor temp and about two and a half minutes to cook a thin crust pizza. Just need a little more practice but our first pizza was great. Nothing like a true wood fired pizza!
We bought the Marinara back in April of 2020 as the lock-down was coming in place. We have done loads of pizzas and really enjoy them. We have not ordered pizza from our local guys since! Steaks, wood plank salmon, porchetta, mac 'n cheese all turn out great. Always looking for new ideas to use the oven. Very happy with the oven.
I have been using this oven exclusively for pizza and bread making. I could not imagine a better product. I purchased the saputo stones but have also used the standard stones. This oven heats faster and temperature maintains much longer than smaller pizza ovens I have used in past. The oven will remain hot for 6-12 hours after use. I am glad that we decided to go with this oven over larger and heavier brick ovens. It would have been logistic nightmare to have large brick oven delivered and set up. For a large brick oven that would have same functional ability you have to arrange for delivery and fork lift and installation and can never move oven. The Fontana oven is portable; it can be placed on a cart (purchased separately) to be moved under canopy or other cover. If you are looking for an oven that gets hot (consistent above 900 degrees) and is light enough to delivery and assemble and move then look no further. I had researched all of the older and new steel wood-fired ovens vs brick ovens; the Marinara ended up being the best choice.

Shipping & Returns

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
