Minimalist design but in rubbed bronze is a nice balance of elegance without being ultra modern (that I imagine chrome or silver would be). But if you want ultra modern, it'll be beautiful. I have to echo one of the negative reviews that said there's a lot of wire jammed into the canopy cover once the remote receiver is in. It's difficult, but not insurmountable. I started the fan at speed 3 out of 6 and there's good air flow. 6 is very good and still very quiet. I had some problems changing the downrod, but mainly because I'm technologically challenged. You really have to yank the coupling cover really hard to reveal the set screws and lock pin. Manual was badly organized with a few pages in Spanish in the English version and vice versa. Bottom line, very happy.

The receiver for the remote is too big for the ceiling bracket provided and as a result there is no way to make the electrical connections and position the wires back up in the ceiling box. There is no wiggle room for the supply connections and the wires feeding to the fan motor which come up into the bracket out of the down-rod - everything has to be left to be smashed up into place under canopy which is terrible practice. Horrible design. I've installed fans 1/2 the price of this that were much more intelligently designed. Stay away.

I bought one of these from a local supplier. The good, when it didn't work properly I called Minka and they promptly answered the phone. I described the spastic actions of the fan and asked for trouble shooting tips. They said it sounded like I had a bad controller and to return it. I did and exchanged it for an a/c unit vs this dc unit. New one installed much easier and worked well. The ac to dc converter fits in a small space in the ceiling canopy making the unit very difficult to wire and install. Loved the concept, but didn't want to do a second difficult install and take a risk on another bad unit.

I would highly recommend this fan. It is very well made and, as the name suggests, has a simple but elegant design. As important is the fan's performance: it's whisper quiet and moves a lot of air. I researched hundreds of fans and settled on this one after a lot of comparison shopping. I'm 100% happy with my purchase.

I have two bronze fans in the bedrooms that are occupied as well as a silver in the living room. All have the optional LED light. The blades are plastic. Thick, well made plastic. I don't have an issue due to quality of materials used. I did have an issue getting the receiver in because I didn't see in the instructions how things were to go together. After me making a call and help from Minka Aire, I was back at it and they all went up pretty quickly. How to place the receiver was in their directions, I just missed it. I had gotten another popular brand fan for the dining room. The wiring was a nightmare. The Simple makes it very easy as all you have to do is plug the appropriate connectors together. These fans move a LOT of air. The DC motors are very efficient and if you're looking for a visually low-impact, clean appearing fan that moves air, for the price (compared to other dc driven fans) along with the quality of the product, you'd be hard pressed to do better than this fan.

Updated styling, minimal visual impact, but puts out a lot of wind. Completely quiet, nice remote. A great choice for a fan.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
