Broil King Regal S 490 PRO IR 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill With Rotisserie & Infrared Side Burner - Stainless Steel - 956944

After using my Regal S490 Pro grill, there are several features that surface as benefits after acquainting myself to the grill behavior. The heavy SS grates are simply awesome. The heating is even across the grates with minimal variation except for the front edge, which is a little cooler. Not a problem. The big thing is the heat control over the four burners. The range is beyond what you normally use. Full high is great for fast heating and grate cleaning, but too hot for cooking. Full low is below what you need for cooking. The result is that there is complete heat control range from great searing of steak to slow grill roasting of chicken without burning the skin. Construction is sturdy and robust. Add the attractive price for the features and performance, the Regal S490 Pro is tough to beat. Easily the best grill I ever owned.

I often gauge the quality of a machine by its heft. This grill is solid, heavy, substantial. It's feels like it is built to last. I like that- will know more later.

On our 3rd month with this BBQ, Use BBQ 3-4 times a week minimum.. pros- easy tank pull out a hit to turn gas on and off and stainless steel finish cons- outside grill not powerful enough and blows out easily. The no draft on main BBQ feature is great idea but MAKES ALL COOKING SMOKE BLOW BACK INTO YOUR FACE!!!! Know for sure the electric starter is not going to last the year as getting weak already(replaced batteries as well) Stayed away from Broil King as had one YEARS ago and same thing...looks nice but cheaply made!! The warranty is there and i know for sure am going to need it for entire BBQ...for $1299 this should not be the case...guess there is $700 for warranty and BBQ is only worth $500-$600 bucks. This will be last Broil King i buy and will go back to Coleman...this is after i use out of warranty if the whole unit even lasts that long.

I spent good money on a Broil King grill. After putting it together and turning it on, it was discovered it had an issue with a burner. it actually was shooting flames and scared the front of the grill. Although shoppers choice attempted to resolve, Broil King's only solution is to ship me out new parts in two weeks that I must install. Installing the burner mechanics does not make me comfortable. That's why I bought a new grill. This was all due to Broil King shipping a faulty product. I will tell every one I ever know about my Broil King experience so hopefully others will not be taken. The right thing was to ship me a new fire of that works... but they could not see their way to that. This grill leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

I purchased a cheap grill about 3 years ago. Everything about it made it virtually unusable in that short amount of time. The temp control is amazing with so 50K BTU. Indirect work great for veggies. Grilling is grilling so rather than going into all of the details I'll just say you get what you pay for.
