Key Features
- New Smoke Box to cook with pellets, wood chunks or chips, or charcoal
- Down & Out Ventilation for even heating
- Compatible with Sidekick components for cooking versatility
- Expanded chamber height
The Camp Chef Woodwind 24 Pro WiFi grill makes it easier to cook outdoors. Period. The combination of advanced features and smartphone monitoring and control gives you power to control the smoke and heat, and keeps you posted on the progress of your cook. Not since Fred threw a dinosaur rib on an open fire has outdoor cooking been more appealing!
Smoke Box
If you want a little more smoke and more smoke flavor than you may get with pellets alone, the reinvented Smoke Box lets you cook with wood pellets, wood chunks or chips, and even charcoal. Use the damper to simultaneously control heat and flavor.
Down & Out Ventilation
The Woodwind Pro heat diffuser optimizes your smoking by pushing smoke and heat up the sides of the grill, then circulating and eventually exiting it through the rear exhaust. You will get even heat and smoke throughout the smoking chamber. With the Fan Only mode, you can cold smoke with the Woodwind Pro 24.
WiFi Controller + Camp Chef Connect
The Woodwind Pro WiFi line includes a full-color display with an easy-to-use menu dial, four ports for temperature probes, and a weather-resistant cover. The Camp Chef Connect app lets you monitor your cook from anywhere on your smartphone. You can set timers, check data from past cooks, assign labels to your probes, and set up push notifications. The included Smart Meat Assistant even lets you select meat types. It doesn't get much easier than this!
Smoke Number
The PID controller helps you regulate smoke and temperature. You can control how much smoke you provide to your cook by adjusting the Smoke Number. The detailed controller gives you the most precise grill temperature control in the industry. Increase the Smoke Number, and your smoke output increases. As the Smoke Number decreases, the temperatures will hold steady. Now you can ask your friends, what's YOUR smoke number?
Stainless Steel Components
Protecting your grill against rust and corrosion helps it last for many years. The Woodwind Pro 24 uses 430 stainless steel on the inside, and the butterfly valve, gasket, and burn cup use 304 stainless steel.
Sidekick Compatible
Expand your outdoor cooking capabilities by adding a Sidekick Flat Top griddle or a Sidekick Searing Station to your pellet grill. A Sidekick mounts easily to your existing side shelf holes. The Sidekick components are propane-powered.
Ash Cleanout
While hardwood pellets typically burn efficiently, they usually leave some ash behind. The Woodwind Pro 24 provides an Ash Cleanout to let you quickly and easily remove ash. Simply pull the Ash Cleanout knob on the side of the grill, and your ash empties into a cup that you can remove. Just dump the ash safely, replace the cup, and you're ready for your next cook!

I owned another brand pellet grill for years. In fact, I took over grilling from my husband because I enjoyed it so much. When it was time for a new pellet grill, I did my homework like I was preparing for a research paper. I came across the Woodwind PRO 24 and the features of the smokebox, the ability to add a sidekick...blew my mind. Hands down, the best purchase I've made. It is so easy to use, smoke flavor is bomb, and I can sear my tr-tip without having to get my charcoal grill up and running. Now, I am telling everybody.

Picked up the pro so I would have the box for charcoal or wood chips. It made a huge difference having that being able to add so much flavor into the smoke. Friends couldn't believe the pork shoulder and ribs came off of pellet grill and not my charcoal offset. I also have the side seer and letting that rip at full tilt on the burner for some tbone steaks and then finished them on the pellets... Wow, so fast to cook and came out perfect! The seer was great and the cook was beautiful!
I switched over from a Weber Smokey Mountain which is an easier assembly but requires more constant maintenance. The smoke box is cool and adds an extra level of smoke. The biggest thing I need to get used to is the timing - it actually cooks better than I'm used to so I need to adjust the timing. I plan to add a side sear in the future but in the meantime - time to PRACTICE!

My grill is 13 weeks and 40 meals into its life. The following are my observations from the various different cooks: Smoke - Decent output, but only with a narrow windows of settings for optimal results. I found 200 to 230 to be the sweet spot with a smoke setting of 6 or 7. After smoke 7 all other setting appeared to reduce smoke output. Smoke 10 is not a freight train of smoke as I anticipated which is unfortunate. Any temperature above 250 had low output and smoke adjacent taste. Sear - The gas burners produce an adequate amount of output for if no more than 4 burners are on at one time. If the remaining 2 burners are added, the overall seat abilities appear to be diminished. Griddling - Impossible to preform 3-way leveling which results in grease migrating away from food and pooling in various spots. Mobile Application - Initial setup was a breeze, but it's highly unstable (iPhone user with current firmware). In the middle of several 12+ hour cooks, utilizing 2-4 of the probes, the app lost connection, control, and the collected data. In the last couple of weeks I have lost all control of the grill from the app. All attempts to reconnect with the app have been unsuccessful. Build Quality - Fairly ok is how I describe the overall quality. No issues with fitment or finish, but little quirks do not reflect the price point of the grill. After the first high temp sear all grill grates began to flake off their coating (most of the coating is now gone). The gas igniters are not operational after several troubleshooting attempts requiring the use of a lighter to ignite the gas burners. Grease collection alignment is skewed and drips within the lower chamber. Griddle is unstable and flexes from the weight while cooking. Lid bolts back out after frequent use require constant retightening. Recommendations - Make the grates out of 1/4 stainless steel rods. Update igniters to electronic spark ignition. Secure griddle with multi-way leveling capabilities. Modify smoke curves to be more tailored to clean or dirty smoke not a 1-10 scale. Improve stability and features within app. Final Thoughts - It cooks food and does a fairly OK job at accomplishing that task, but so do most other grills. With the price tag I anticipated a higher quality product. I will be keeping this grill for now, but I have buyers remorse.

Only had it a couple of weeks and it is everything I was expecting. I have smoked pork chops and chicken, homemade bacon, fixed homemade pizza and cooked up some hamburgers.
Received the grill yesterday and was planning to have a Masters golf tournament party and have some smoked brisket and pulled pork. Turns out the auger motor doesn't even work or spin the auger at all. Very frustrating.
Exactly what I was expecting. I was looking for pellet grill so I wouldn't have to always tend the fire on a 12 hour brisket cook...Check. I wanted more smoke, so went with the smoke box and it works perfectly (light your chunks before you insert the box)...Check. I wanted a built in probe system so I didn't have to drag out my Thermoworks probe device...Check. I wanted to be able to sear, so I got the sear sidekick and it is perfect...Check. So far, I've done 3 chickens, the brisket that was sent to me with the promotion (22hr cook), pork spare and baby back ribs, and steaks. Everything has turned out AMAZING and I was able to leave the brisket on all night while I slept! My wife said (and I agree) that the steaks were the best I've cooked (used the smoke box AND sear station and I finally get the 30 second sear grill marks I've always wanted). I just can't say enough about this thing. I have a Weber gas and a Oklahoma Joe's barrel smoker, but don't need either now. This has replaced everything.
I started putting this thing together and noticed all of it is built very well in comparison to other manufacturers. The flame tamers were heavy gauge SS. Overall design seems to be built very well and thought-out. I haven't used it yet but very excited.
I'm revising my review to five stars after working through the issued I mentioned below with customer service. Camp Chef came up with an acceptable solution and importantly also offered both a work around or also offered a completely new grill, which speaks highly to the company.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
