I've owned my 1050 smoker/grill going on 4 years now. It is the first and only smoker I have ever owned. After doing a bit a research and receiving a personal recommendation for the Masterbuilt Gravity series, I decided on the1050. I have not been disappointed. I love the fact that I can load the bin with regular charcoal, fire it up, set the temperature control, and let it run for hours without any further tending. The remote control and monitoring makes it simple to check in occasionally from an app on your phone while you're doing something else. The capacity of the 1050 is extraordinary making it possible to smoke or grill a lot of stuff at the same time, and the outcome is always delicious! Thanks for a great product, Masterbuilt.

I live up north where we get lots of snow. My smoker sits outside all winter but I never have to worry about it. I've had it for 4+ seasons now and it still works like new. And the cover has resisted fading, unlike some of the other covers I have for my other grills

Love the gravity smoker. I have a pellet smoker, also a offset smoker but the masterbuilt gravity is my favorite for the best flavor and ease of use these grills are the real deal.

I only cooked over open flames for 17 years before this grill came out because nothing could give food the same flavor. This grill changed all that! Because this grill uses real hardwood you get the same flavor as open flame cooking but with more control and in significantly less time. Being able to dial in an exact temperature using real hardwood is a paradigm shift for purists. The grill heats the hardwood to temperature in just minutes and can be controlled on the grill or on an app using your phone. If you've been looking for true wood fire cooking with the ease of a grill this is your answer.

I've had this for about 3 years. There is a little bit of a learning curve from switching to this from an offset smoker but nothing to bad. I've smoked about everything on it. They always turn out pretty good. The only bad thing is that it's hard to get a good crust on it. I've had to replace the digital control pad but other than that it's ran without any problems.

These cubes are amazing. They light fast which ignites charcoal right away (usually within 2 minutes). They burn clean. I have found that two cubes work better than one however so I get about 24 fire starts per pack. One will work, but two seem to just work better and faster.
