I bought this a month or so ago. Dint realize it would be so heavy so I'll be selling it. Having said that I believe you need to find a solution for grease dripping through grill box. It will start a fire. The adjustable legs are very weak when extended and bent under the weight of the griddle. The grease grove on the griddle works great but the grease trap leaves a lot to be desired.
There are not words to express how much I love this grill. I'd buy another one if I could figure out how to use two of them. A+++
I owned the Expedition 3X and loved it. Griddle was great and I really enjoyed that the most. I needed something more portable for camping in our RV. All in all the Versatop is a good griddle. The actual unit is great. It's the griddle Im not completely happy with. From having the prior camp chef griddle I am well aware that low to medium heat is all you ever need. Went camping and cooked a couple of packs of bacon. I noticed almost immediately that the grease was pooling in the middle of the griddle. I ran my scraper across the top and felt a dip in the metal right in the middle. After I shut the heat off to clean and season and it cooled the dip in the griddle went away. Later made smash burgers on the griddle did the same thing once it started to heat up. Let it cool after dinner and right back to normal. I also noticed that the welds under the griddle were actually showing on the griddle surface and you could feel them with the scraper. Not sure if it's a bad griddle or a manufacturing issue. But I did not have that problem with the Expedition Griddle. I'm wondering if it's thinner metal to keep the weight down. I don't know if it's a versatop thing but like I said my other griddle wasn't like that. As far as fuel usage I burn through the smaller bottles in a 1 1/2 meals with six people. Don't get me wrong, I love the versatop with the faults it has and would not return it. I know Camp Chef makes quality products. The portability on its own is worth the price. I also got the carrying bag which is worth the money. I would definitely purchase an adapter for hooking up to larger propane tanks. I bought it because it's a griddle and that's the main cooking method. Because of that and the griddle issues I could only give it 3 stars. I wanted to give 5 but just can't.
I have the Versatop for only a few weeks and have used the griddle only 3-4 times. Assembly, seasoning, and leveling is simple. The heating time is minimal and the temperature is very flexible with a wide range from moderately low to sizzling high. The cook top is easy to clean and appears super durable. One of the things I cooked was pancakes and my friend commented they were the most well cooked pancakes he'd ever had. I also bought the the 16" PZ90 pizza oven and same comment..."wow".

Great grilling stove. People at BBQ Guys are tremendous. Thank you!
We needed new cooking gear for our football tailgating and this was the answer. Easy to pack, easy to use, easy to clean. Can cook just about anything you want to perfection. I am the envy of everyone!
Despite of the one negative review on this particular grill, I ordered it just due to the nature of its size and portability.. It is perfect for camping or RVing as we call it. The igniters worked flawless and the heat is very well-balanced. I also ordered all the extra Adding and OMG. The pizza oven is out of this world, along with the grill grate is awesome if you were grilling ribs. Highly recommended this product without any hesitation

I had the single burner but was to small so I got the 2X. This is so well built and works so good.
Bought this as we camp a lot and never have enough room to cook what we want. Item is easy to start and heats very fast and cooking is a breeze. No more days not having enough cooking room. Clean up is a snap also.
This griddle was quickly shipped and arrived on time. The packaging was great with no damage. Took it on a five day camping trip as soon as we got it. It seems to cook really hot even on low. And the igniters for the burners take several clicks to light the burners. It was very frustrating. But overall the quality seems to be great and it cooked really well.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
