Customer Reviews
I've had this grill for about a year now and love the flavor that it produces. I have smoked meats made pizza and just cooked burgers and dogs . You need to purchase the heat difflector separately for smoking. This unit is heavy . Needed two men to get up onto my deck . The only thing that was disappointing is the low quality wood sealer used to waterproof the wood shelves on the sides . After one rain the shelves turned black and don't look good anymore . I would recommend putting a coat of polyurethane on the wood before leaving it outside .
I had to wait for my (much hated) gas grill to die before I could justify buying a replacement. After helping it along a bit I finally able to get my Pit Boss. IT IS AWESOME !!! I have grilled, roasted, baked on it and everything has been wonderful. We had a wood cook stove in our kitchen when I was growing up so I had some knowledge of how to cook on on one of these grills, and it is almost like cooking on a wood stove. All in all it was worth the wait and it was worth what I paid for it considering what gas grills cost and how limited cooking on one is. This is one of my few possessions that someone will have to pry out of my cold dead hands when I die.
Wish I had kept my gas box smoker as this one is much more expensive and harder to use. Even worse the product doesn't taste as good.
We purchased this grill to replace a medium sized Green Egg. We love the size of our Pit Boss - we can easily smoke enough meat for either our family of four or a crowd of friends on the weekend. It's easy to use and we love it!
I got this last year and never regretted it. I picked it up at Costco which was a steal compared to the other brands. So far I've cooked every thing from a pork roast, full chicken, burgers, dogs and plenty more. I even use it to cook paella as the pan fits across the entire fire. I use the deflector for smoking and the pizza stone for a variety of other meals (other than pizza). It is a fantastic product. It took an hour to put together. The craftsmanship is top notch.
My wife bought this for me 2015 Christmas. After using gas grills for alot of years, I started experimenting with a charcoal kettle grill that I picked up cheap. My wife thought that I may benefit from one of those Ceramic grills. She got this one through Targets website with a bunch of promos over that Christmas. It came just on time for me to try it for a prime rib Christmas dinner. I have been cooking on it every week since I got it. Sometimes as much as 6 days a week. It was a little difficult at first to get accessories for it, but it has become much easier. Accessories are not as easy to find as they are for certain other green kamados. I have found that most items that will fit a 22.5" kettle will fit this. When the heat deflector was available from Pit Boss site, I ordered it right away. Kick Ash Basket is available, Craycort cast iron grates are available. I wish there was other vent caps available, but I'm sure there will be. For air flow control I have used a Pitmaster IQ. I have a Tappecue to monitor the temps. I've cooked prime rib, turkey, chicken, pizza, bread, pies, hamburgers, I even did a stir fry on it tonight before I wrote this review. My wife and I were talking about what a great purchase this was. I always liked cooking, and this grill took it up a notch. I have even more passion for cooking now then I have had in years. I keep trying to convince my wife that I could do even more if I had another ceramic grill that I could fire up for over flow. Two or three has got to be better then one, right?
I bought my K24 at costco in the summer of 2016. I've been using it regularly for 8 months now and I have been seriously impressed. First, for the price, It would be hard to find a better offer. I paid $1k less than my friends did for a famous green Kamado with the same parts. There were a couple of nuts that were not stainless steel that I had to swap out, and the side tables needed some TLC to handle the wet climate here in Tennessee, but at such a discount I thought those were minor issues. This grill has peformed equally to any high-quality kamado i have ever used. Works perfectly every time on everything from "low and slow" cooks to screaming hot.
I have smoked and grilled and am extremely happy. Easy to use. Simple to control. Ribs are excellent.
Definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a kamodo style grill. About half the cost of its competition, with comparable performance. Lacks in aftermarket accessories, and support but the necessities are there.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
