So, let's cut to the meat (pun intended) of this. Yes, it fits the burner like you expect it to. Yes, it heats up fast and is stable in temperature readings. Did it sear my rib eye like I wanted. Absolutely! Am I glad I purchased it? Yes! Would I buy it again? Only if this one dies.

This guy is a solid workhorse. Either it gets very dirty, very easily, or I'm just using it constantly. Probably both tbh! I love finishing smoked meats on this thing, including tri-tip, steaks, pork tenderloin, etc. The cast iron grates are a huge plus for those classic sear marks, while the heat distribution from the Sidekick burner allows for even searing with minimal to no flare-ups. Only downside is it appears the Sidekick burner might be too powerful for this searbox. I try to keep it below medium, otherwise, the temperature gauge goes well past 750, and the bottom of the searbox turns from black to red #funtimes

Purchased 9 months ago and love it. Nothing like searing at 1000℉+!! Works great as a small grille for burgers, steaks, and such, sears roasts, steaks, and even pork butts to perfection... QUICKLY

Smoking hot sear box! Works perfectly for a quick sear. We used it so far for brats and hot dogs which took 30 seconds for some nice grill marks!

I like that it fits easily on the frame over the burner. It heats up quickly. It stores nicely in my camper.

I grew up in a family that uses Camp Chef - on the mountains and for backyard grilling. I knew and trusted the product, so when we moved away and needed a grill of our own, I didn't look anywhere else. Ordered the Tailgater Combo, and have had it in the yard since (living in South Carolina, we can grill 9-10 mos out of the year). I went out this spring, and the grillbox literally fell apart in my hands. Rusted all the way through in under 3 years. The base is also rusting away. My family (in Utah) has never had a problem like this. Would love for Camp Chef to create a version that holds up in humid climates, especially because we can grill more often.

This is the perfect size grill for me and my wife. I can do hot dogs, burgers, brats anything you cook on your big grill can be done with this unit And when I smoke meat I just turn on the grill and sear the meats chicken or steaks. Great addition to the family. And my buddy who has a Traeger is so mad he cannot do what this can do

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
