You can definitely taste the hickory and charcoal flavor. I get a great smoke profile from them.

I wish I could reply to some of these reviews.

There are a few reviewers here mentioning they aren't getting much smoke on "high smoke", but I fear the term is misleading. High smoke simply means it is cooking on the smoke setting, but at a higher temperature than low smoke. It doesn't mean you'll be getting more smoke out of your unit. That being said, the pellets infuse subtle flavor because it's smoke... not injection. You're going to fill the chamber with the same smoke as you do with cherry, apple, competition blend, or any other pellet, so you will always get a subtle flavor unless you perform a very long cook, like a brisket or pork shoulder. I love these pellets. They remind me of my charcoal grill, with a much better flavor. I'm happy with my purchase! Thanks Camp Chef!

Fantastic

i was so excited to try this, i bought both flavors (Hickory and Apple). i think its fantastic! i found the best way to maximize flavor is add regular hickory pellets and Charwood pellets. perfect blend! love this stuff. well done CC!!

Not Good for Me

I was an avid stick smoker fan for 20+ years till I did a cook for 30 people on Memorial Day 2018. I said I wouldn't ever do that again and jumped on the pellet band wagon few months ago and love it for long cooks but not short ones. Unless you want to keep the kitchen clean then it's awesome for set it and forget it. The new Char-wood/Hickory pellets produced little to no smoke at all in my Woodwind SG model at high smoke (220). Actually the Competition blend produced more smoke at 220. And hickory, I really couldn't tell much difference from the competition blend which I would say spend you money there instead of the new Charwood blend. I was asked for a review.

Definitely Cherry

I have several offset smokers and recently bought s Camp Chef pellet smoker. I have had access to a large cherry orchard and their annual pruning and felled trees. I truly think that Cherry and Pecan are the best woods for smoking all but salmon. I ordered the Camp Chef cherry pellets. I was happy to discover the authentic cherry smoke that resulted from the pellets. Great job guys

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
