Customer Reviews
I've wanted a Vitamin forever & finally decided to make the investment. The S50 is perfect because it's small & great for small kitchens. It does everything you need done if your main focus is smoothies. Even though its technically not self cleaning, you can still self clean it by adding a little soap & hot water.

I have been thinking about this purchase for awhile! I have been reluctant to buy an expensive blender because I'm a one person household and don't want a lot of appliances I'm not going to use in a small kitchen. I lived with a larger top quality blender before and found it to big to make smaller quantities. This is perfect. I love the smoothie to go cup to take to work. It is sitting on the counter and I am using it everyday. I have only had it about a month but it looks like heavy duty top quality and simple construction. If it lives up to its long lasting reputation I will be 100% happy customer. So far perfect. Helping me to live a healthier life!!

I saw the smaller Vitamix several years ago. I wanted to think about. I decided it would be perfect for me. But then I could not find one for sale! I searched and seached for 3 years. The larger model was just not suited for me. One day on Amazon, during yet another search, I found a review on the S50! I ordered it that day, directly from Vitamix. It is amazing!! I use it everyday to make smoothies and juices. My only regret is that I did not purchase it the first time I saw it!! Thank you Vitamix. And made in the USA !

I bought this model through their site because I couldn't find it in a store. I'm glad I went with the smaller model. It's perfect for me.

I purchased the S50 less than a month ago, and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and power. The Personal Series is for customers who prefer to make single or small servings. I am a one-person household, so I knew this would be the right choice. Although the Personal Series on paper has less power than the Legacy or Ascent Series, it is still an extraordinarily powerful machine. It has all the capabilities of the larger models, ranging from making hot soups to silky smooth frozen desserts and nut butters. The only caveat is that recipes may require slightly longer blending times to achieve the same results as larger models–or so I read. This is to be expected since the Personal Series uses a smaller motor! My initial reaction when I picked up the S50 was that Vitamix did not compromise on quality. The components feel very solid. At first, I was hesitant to spend the money on a Vitamix since I was satisfied enough with the Nutri-Bullet at a fraction of the cost. However, you get what you pay for, which not only shows in the build quality, but also the blending results. A Vitamix really is an investment because it will be the last blender you ever purchase. Blending results are outstanding each time I use it. Of course, I follow the instructions from Vitamix, but I am also very familiar with the personal blender realm. If you are using the 20-ounce container, you have to be methodical in how you load the ingredients. Since the 20-ounce container will not allow the use of the tamper, you must use enough liquid to get a consistent and smooth blend. The solid ingredients I load into the container always end up sitting close to the top, and I pour the liquid last to fill the container to about 3/4 full. If you prefer a thicker result, you are much better off using the 40-ounce container with the tamper. As for cleanup, it is a breeze. You have to remove the blade and the rubber gasket to properly clean it unlike the larger models where everything is sealed together. Honestly, it takes about 5-10 seconds to rinse the blade and rubber gasket. Some people have indicated it is an inconvenience because the larger models have the ability to self clean. For me, this is not an inconvenience at all. Welcome to the realm of personal blenders. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. If you are on the fence about buying a Vitamix because of the cost, please take my word for it when I say it is worth every single penny.

It's just my husband and I so I got the smaller one.I use it so much I wish I would have gotten the bigger one! For now this one is doing us very well, worth every penny!
The only good thing about this model Is that it takes up less counter space. I make daily fresh smoothies and the ingredients are constantly getting stuck in the narrow part of the container, I have to stop the blades and push the ingredients down several times. What used to take me 1 minute in a kitchenaid blender now takes me over 3 minutes and creates a huge mess with the spoon drippings and splashes from having to push the ingredients down several times and get the blades to catch. The whole point of buying this expensive appliance is for high quality performance and ease of use. Very disappointed with my first vitamix product. Will be going back to kitchenaid as soon as I can!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
