This 5-inch hollow edge Santoku knife is one of my favorites. I also own the 8 inch blade and use that for bigger jobs. Both cut very smoothly and are easy to handle.

I grew up with the Four Star line in my parents kitchen and now that I am on my own I didn't even think of looking for another blade. The handle material is super comfortable and gives me confidence in my grip. The traditional blade design has never changed and is consistently sharp and stays sharp for a long time. Im so glad that some things never change. The German quality and engineering really shine through here. The Santoku shape is great for all of my slicing and chopping needs. The acute angle gives me nice straight cuts.

This knife is perfect for quick jobs in the kitchen. It is made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. The knife has hollow edges that help move food away from the blade as it chops - does your job quicker and more efficiently. The handle is comfortable and lightweight, a nice option compared to other heavy handle knives.

This 5.5-inch santoku is a favorite among folks have smaller hands and/or like a lot of control over their chopping knife. Because the shape of the knife, the length and width, provide so much stability, this is a popular knife among people who chop a lot of vegetables and meats. There's a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling's lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The 'grippy' polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I've had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still comes out for certain jobs. I expect it will be there for a while longer.

I love using this knife because it is an all around workhorse. I prefer using this over a chef's knife because of the wider blade that makes it easy to transfer food from the cutting board to the pan in one move. I also love the ovals on the side of the knife that makes the food not stick to the blade.

I like when the smaller knives retain handle size of larger knives...they're more stable...like this one. Also, this forged santoku has hollow edge so food sticks to blade far less.

I love the size and shape of this knife. Perfect for chopping and prepping, onions, celery carrots etc.. The wide blade is helpful for dicing and the flat balde makes the cutting super simple. This sizeworks great when I am cooking and only need small amounts of the savories!

I had been looking for a santoku that was not so big for smaller vegetable cuts and I have fallen in love with this 5 inch. It has the same quality with a comfortable handle and impressive sharpness.

This 5" Santoku is a great size for every day chopping jobs. It is razor sharp with a 10 degree fine edge and hollow pockets to help keep food from sticking to the blade as you slice. Four Star knives are made in Germany from specially formulated steel that will stay sharper longer all while being corrosion, chip and crack resistant.

This light weight Santoku is perfect for someone who prefers a smaller blade and lighter knife for chopping but doesn't want to give up quality. It's great to chop small fruits and vegetables or even slice through small pieces of meat. Four Star is a top quality knife forged from high carbon German steel, made in Germany just the same as the Pro knives. The difference is in the handle construction; it has a molded handle instead of three rivets making it lighter.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
