Well considering we received it damaged, I could not believe how nice they were and how fast they replaced it.. We are doing a Smoke, for 35 people. So the brisket will be on the bottom and then put the expander on and we are going to do 10 turkey thighs on top. Can't wait. Thank you BBQGUYS

I purchased this product right before Thanksgiving and I needed it. I was able to smoke approximately 30lbs of beef ribs with the added surface space. I love it and a must need if your family is a greedy as mine!

I have had this for several years and it is great and can fit two 10 lb. pork butts on it and cook a 15 lb. Brisket underneath it on my KJ Classic.

Pro's: Build quality is very good, Heavy duty construction. Stands very well on the Kamado joe grill rack without sliding or moving. Con's: Dimensions are not accurate on the website (even Kamado joe's website) when installed on the rack there is only 3 3/4" clearance between grill rack and bottom of expander. Unit does not measure 5 1/4" tall. Understanding that this expander has to be a bit smaller than the original grill rack to allow clearance with the dome lid this expander does not even match the circle pattern of the grill rack so it doesn't give you as much cooking surface as it should, IMP and the double legs only have 12" clearance between them so only 2 racks of ribs fit on the original grill rack and most people purchasing the Big Joe are doing it to have more capacity for our cooks. I only gave it 3 stars because of description and design, I do believe this will last a does give a little more cooking area if that's what your looking for.

I believe this is a well made product. Seems to fit on the grates very well without moving around. Only gave it 3 stars because the dimensions don't match the description. When installed on my Kamado Joe Big Joe II it only gives you about 3 7/8" clearance between the bottom grate and the Grill expander. The dimensions listed online and on the box say it is 5 1/4" tall which it is not, I thought would be more than enough clearance for Pork Butts or anything else I would use it for. Also the circle shape of this doesn't match the circle of the grill grates and there is only 12" of clearance between the 2 legs that hold this expander up, I believe it could have been a little better design in my opinion. Without this on the grates I can easily fit 3 racks of ribs laying flat but when this is installed you have to reduce the main grates to just 2 racks. Unfortunately I thru away the box it came with or I would have returned it.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
