Two years old still going strong, love doing my smoking on it. Gets a workout all the time, when and if this one goes plan on getting a bigger one.

Was debating on buying a pellet grill, came across this gravity fed charcoal grill, very happy I did, very happy with grill operation.

I've used this smoker/grill for 3 years now. While it provides some great smoked meats the quality of a few things keep it from being great. It is easy to use and assemble and as previously stated the outcome of the food is great. The controller is less than desirable as it losses connectivity and have to re-synch with the app quite often. Would replace it but stays out of stock. The temperature control in on is very finicky and doesn't work so have to adjust the temp through the app most times. The door sensors are also bad and have been replaced three times. They have failed during long overnight cooks which is frustrating so they have been bypassed to ensure consistent cooking. An upgrade of the controller and sensors would really make for a great product.

I have had this grill for about 4 years and it works quite well. The smoke flavor is much better than on my friends' high end pellet grills. I can easily bump up the temperature to 500 degrees or more after a long smoke session to sear the meat. I have even cooked lasagna with it, so that I have a nice smokey taste to it. Unfortunately, lately I have been having an issue with the app staying logged in during my smoke and have had to resort to checking my temps with the display on the grill. The grates are a pain to clean and season, but I see that the grates were replaced on the new XT model.

I have had my 1050 since 2020 no mods. My only complaints are the app, swithces and rusted manifold. Nothing mentioned has been a show stopper.

Masterbuilt lump charcoal is very high-quality, clean, burning and feeds well in the Masterbuilt gravity series smokers. The chunks are more uniform than some of the other brands which are just a lot of very small chunks that are often too small to use. Grill temperatures are very stable using Masterbuilt brand chunk charcoal.

I have purchased 3 Masterbuilt gravity feed 1050's. I love all of them. One for each home and one for Community Center. I have the probe and always get compliments for steaks, turkey breast chicken , burgers and you name it. Great charcoal taste and easy to manage heat control! Best taste ever.

This is the greatest grill/smoker I have ever owned. The versatility of these things amaze me. They do have their issues like any other BBQ, but if you are somewhat handy, they are easy to fix.

I have the 8oo and i love it. I gave 4 stars coz the coz i wish the had stainless steel for the manifolds and the burn chamber. Also for the grease catcher is not the best.

Have had this for 7 months now and my cooks have been better than ever. This grill keeps temperature perfectly! Almost a cruise control smoker!! Love this thing!!!
