The Masterbuilt Lump Charcoal has quickly become my go-to fuel for grilling and smoking. The pieces are a good size, burn evenly, and produce a steady, reliable heat that makes temperature control much easier. Compared to standard briquettes, it lights faster, lasts longer, and gives food that authentic smoky flavor without excessive ash. One thing I really like is how clean it burns—there's less dust and waste left behind, which makes cleanup simpler and helps my grill or smoker stay in better condition. It pairs perfectly with Masterbuilt grills and smokers, but I've also used it in other charcoal cookers with great results. Overall: High-quality lump charcoal that delivers excellent performance and flavor. If you want consistent heat and a cleaner burn, Masterbuilt's lump charcoal is definitely worth keeping on hand.
The Masterbuilt AutoIgnite 545 is the perfect blend of charcoal flavor and modern convenience. The push-button auto-ignite feature takes away the hassle of lighting charcoal—it's fast, reliable, and makes it easy to get cooking without the usual mess and guesswork. The digital controls hold temperature steady, which makes smoking and grilling much more predictable than traditional charcoal setups. It heats quickly, adjusts easily, and gives that authentic smoky flavor every time. The size is great for family cooking or smaller gatherings—enough room to smoke ribs or grill for a crowd without feeling oversized. I really like the overall design, which feels solid and thoughtfully made. Cleanup is manageable, especially if you keep up with the ash. It's also versatile—whether I'm searing steaks at high heat or doing a low-and-slow smoke, it handles both really well. Overall: If you want the taste of real charcoal but don't want to fuss with starting fires or fighting temperature swings, the AutoIgnite 545 is a fantastic option. It's simple, reliable, and produces delicious results every time.
I've been using the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 for a while now, and it has completely transformed the way I grill and smoke. The convenience of digital controls paired with the flavor of real charcoal is exactly what I was looking for. The gravity-fed charcoal hopper is brilliant—it gives me hours of steady heat without constant tending, and the digital temperature control makes it feel almost like cooking on a gas or pellet grill. It heats up quickly, holds temps well, and switching between low-and-slow smoking and high-heat grilling is seamless. The cooking space is massive—plenty of room to cook for a crowd. The reversible cast-iron grates are a nice touch, giving flexibility between searing and smoking. I also like the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity; being able to monitor and adjust temps from my phone adds another layer of convenience. That said, it's a big unit, so make sure you have the space for it, and it does require regular cleaning to keep ash and grease from building up. But those are small trade-offs for the performance it delivers. Overall: If you love the flavor of charcoal but want the precision and ease of digital controls, the Masterbuilt 1050 is absolutely worth it. It's become my go-to grill and smoker.
I've had this cooker for a year and a half, I've only used it for smoking, and it can smoke meat…! I would like to see a model with a side feed for chips, current model you need to plan out your cook/smoke and if you didn't use all the gravity, fed charcoal and wood chips and you decided to cook a different meat. You would have to burn it off or emptied out to start over. I haven't had this problem because I plan my cooking very well.
I have had it going on a year now and I appreciate the gravity feed convenience and have for the most part enjoyed cooking with it. Some things could use improvement -the application responsiveness, the door switches have failed but we're covered under warranty (could use a better design/setup), power supply should be water proof and experienced an issue with a thermometer port on control panel reading all temp probes plugged in as bad but some how resolved itself and is now working. I would recommend for the convinence, temp control and remote monitoring (though not always reliable) and ability to keep tempature steady even when cold outside!

I liked my 560 so much , I bought 2 1050s, I see people complain about problems, but my opinion, it's user error and not cleaning properly. I replaced a fan once, only thing I've had to do. If one of them does breakdown, I'll be going for the big one next. Both of my 1050s have worked flawlessly for 4 years and my 560 is still going also
This accessory handles it all--from turkeys to multiple chickens. No issues with the motor or spikes during cooks. Well done!!
My 800 Gravity Series does is all--smokes, grills, rotisseries, griddles and bakes! What fun it is to create and find new ways to make great food.
I bought my 1050 when it first came out. It's had its issues as in the safety's failing. But I jumped them out and it kept on going. Then as time went on, the metal in the burn chamber has deteriorated and the grate the goes from the burn chamber to the manifold has deteriorated. But… it keeps on going. I use my 1050 at least once a week. It's time to get a new one, and I will be getting the 1150 or XT.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
