1050 is a great grill!! Would definitely buy it again. As with any grill there is always room for improvement, but there are a lot of accessories out there now for the Chargriller.

The masterbuilt fire starters are the best! They light real easy, they get the lump coal going quick! This is the only brand I buy.

I bought this grill in 2023 and used it 3 times so far. Fixing to do a 15 lb brisket tomtorow! This beast of a 1050 never disappoints! I've done a brisket and tbones and a 23lb turkey and they all came out lip smacking good! I ust to be an avid pellet grill dude but not anymore! Charcoal is where it's at if you want real flavor in your meat! I love my masterbuilt 1050! For christams i got the rotisserie as well haven't used it yet! But it will come in use in the near future! Also fyi if you buy the grill make sure to buy the cover it's heavy duty and real nice! Protect your investment! I also own a masterbuilt wood chip smoker that's in my shop it does a great job as well! Smoke string cheese all kinda of meats etc. love my masterbuilt brand things! Never looking back at a pellet grill again ever!

I've had the gravity series 1050 for 2 years now & switching to it from a pellet smoker has been the best decision ever! I love that it gets to temp in less than 10 minutes! Getting it ready to cook is super easy! I couldn't have made a better decision when I was buying a new smoker.

This is a very heavy duty and sturdy cover. I've used my grill several times after it's rained or snowed and the grill was bone dry. I can't tell you how many grill covers I've had in the past that were cheap plastic that would crack or rip after being exposed to the elements. I've had this cover for years and have never had a need to replace it.

The Masterbuilt brand does a great job with their gravity smokers/grills. I had a stick burner for years and just got tired of managing the fire. So, I bought a Masterbuilt and never looked back. I can get the same great smoky flavor using one of these instead of a stick burner and I don't have to constantly tend to the fire. I would 100% recommend buying a Masterbuilt.

The charcoal is good and does the job. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is thought since they don't specify what kind of hardwood they use. It didn't smell like oak or hickory when it was burning; those are my preferred lump. But, it did the job. I wouldn't say it burned anymore or less efficient than any other lump I've used. I would have given it a higher rating if I knew what kind of hardwood they used vs. the generic description.

You absolutely need to have this griddle for your gravity series grill. You can prepare anything on this guy and it's clearly built to last.

I am new to smoking, but wanted to hit the ground running. With the gravity 800 I have been able to smoke incredible food for parties that my guests were shocked how well they turned out. Using the griddle has also been super helpful because I can do a large amount of pancakes and sausage at the same time or even make a flavorful cheesesteak.
