This product is safe in that it does not get too hot during operations. It is clean, with no open flame. No liquids. And you do not have to transfer any burning coals, which is an added "safety" factor. You do have to be patient while lighting the coals; but that said, using this product still takes less time and effort than taking the "paper/chimney" approach.

Just got my Looflighter this week, first challenge was lighting the wood for my wood burning pizza oven. First time, use my fire was up and burning well within 4 minutes. The next day used it on my Weber Kettle to smoke a pork shoulder. I ring the charcoal around the grill and light the end of the ring. Charcoal was hot and meat on the grill in about 10 minutes. Buying two for gifts for individuals who burn wood fireplaces.

My biggest criticism of charcoal grilling has always been the lighting time: want to eat at hamburgers at 7:00 p.m., light the grill at 6:00 p.m. and pray the coals don't go out. No longer! Light a couple spots in the charcoal, and you're at 500F in 20 minutes. I don't even need my gas grill anymore... just gave it away to charity.

I've used the Looftlighter for about eight months now . It lights the charcole in about three minutes and I'm grilling or roasting in ten to fifteen minutes. I bought the Looftlighter to use with my Kamado Grill, I haven't used my Webber gas grill since, I so I gave it to my son in law. Looftlighter makes lighting charcole a doddle. Highly recommend it.

My son has one and uses this with his Green Egg, I just got an Egg and starter myself and can't wait to start smoking. Biggest pain is starting the coals, this product solves that problem. Coals heat in minutes, no fumes or mess, just instant heat. Finally something that takes the one pain out of grilling!! A must product!!

One of the very few products I've purchased that does EXACTLY what it claims. It'll start hardwood lump charcoal or Kingsford in minutes. This is a well-made device that has a manufacturers two year warranty. I emailed Looftlighter with additional questions and imagine my surprise when I received a reply from the Inventor, Founder, and CEO (yes, there IS a Richard Looft!) Whether you own a Napoleon charcoal grill as I do, or a Kamado Egg, this will take care of your charcoal lighting needs.

Since using the Looftlighter i will never use another method. I have a Green Egg and I tried everthing to make lighting the wood bricks. I used electric, blocks, cages, i tried it all until i got the Looftlighter. Now I spend three to four min and my fire is roaring. If anything happens to the one i have i will buy anohter as fast as i can. Expensive but well worth the money.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
