Fine food is the essence of Fornetto. These Fornetto smoking chips are sourced from the oak barrels in which cognac is stored. Cognanc is a fortified wine made from white grape strains grown in southwestern France. Matured for at least 2 years in oak barrels, it has a wonderful aroma and flavor. Once the cognac is aged and the barrel is emptied, the flavor and essence remain enriched in the wood. The barrels are broken down to create the wood chips, not only savoring the quality of the cognac but also by creating less waste in the environment. These cognac smoking wood chips will enhance the ideal flavor of your food when cooking in your Fornetto Oven. To use, soak chips in water for 20 minutes and then place them in smoker box.
