Great burning hardwood charcoal but.... too many little chips in the bag. You pay for the weight of the contents inside the bag. I use a Kamado Joe Big Joe 3 and the charcoal basket has large gaps. So all the little chips goes right thru into the ash tray. Also when using an electrical torch, the charcoal sparks ALOT but with a fire starter cube, it starts up fine. I will be trying another brand.

First cook with FOGO. Had been using JD as it reviewed fantastic and I liked what they have to say about resourcing their wood. However, on my Weber Summit Charcoal I was unable to have consistent temps with JD. I tried several methods and couldn't keep from having large swings in temp even when using the UltraQ. SOOOO I made the switch as I think the very large pieces in FOGO would help with airflow and consistency. I was correct. I have the bottom vents and tonight the UltraQ is doing its thing. It's made from Oak so that will be different from the JD I was using as well. Will see if it affects the taste. So excited to be sitting here not worrying about having to watch the grill all night long!

Wanted some big charcoal for long cooks . This stuff is like cooking with logs and it lasts forever. Will order again. Takes a little time to get the temp set but after that just let it burn and forget it.

I was skeptical but after hearing so much about it and seeing all the videos about it on Youtube I had to give it a try. Great burn , easy start, low smoke and ash with little to no sparks even when using a torch. I have used many premium products and so far this is my favorite. Pricey yes but overall cook and flavor profile has won me over.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
