The Broil King Keg 2000 features 280 square inches total cooking space, a heavy-duty cast iron cooking grid, heavy-duty steel base and black paint finish. The Keg comes equipped with a heavy duty cast iron cooking grid, perfect for holding heat to sear steaks or slow cooking ribs. The upper damper is made of heavy duty cast iron and allows you to control the temperature of the cookbox with top-air flow. The multi-tool allows you to open and close the damper with ease, allowing you to cook low and slow or hot and fast. The exterior is a durable powder coated finish that is easy to clean and designed to last in all weather conditions. When you open the lid, you will notice a high performance lid seal designed to keep the heat from escaping between the lid and body.

We want you to love what you buy! But if you don’t, we offer a simple “No Hassle Returns” policy. We allow you to return all new, unused, unassembled, and resalable items in their original packaging within 45 days of delivery for a refund (minus the original and return shipping costs incurred by BBQGuys.com). Naturally, if your return is because of our error, you are not responsible for any shipping costs.
- If your return request is due to product defect or damage, we will first work with you to get the product repaired. If repair is not possible, then we’ll work with you to get it replaced.
- If your return will be coming back via freight truck, we will require you to provide us a photo before your return will be authorized. This can be as simple as a cell phone pic! We just need a “before” picture in case there is any damage to the item on its way back to us.
- To expedite the returns process, before shipping the item(s) back, make sure they are clean, the packaging is sufficient to prevent damage, and (if necessary) you note all defects along with the photos taken.
Important information about refund eligibility:
To be eligible for a “No Hassle Return,” items must be returned within 45 days of delivery in “Like New” condition. “Like New” condition is when a returned item is unused, unassembled, and has been returned in the original packaging.

- The costs of return shipping are deducted from your refund or merchandise credit.

- The item has been assembled in a way that would impede proper packaging for return shipping.
In exchange situations, there are TWO options:
- If you need the product right away, you can purchase a replacement on a new order to get it shipped out as soon as possible. Then return the original item and we’ll refund you for the original once we’ve received it back to our warehouse in “Like New” condition.
- If you can wait a little longer, return the original item and once we’ve received it back to our warehouse in “Like New” condition, we’ll refund you for that purchase, then have you purchase the replacement on a new order and we’ll ship the replacement as soon as possible.
Custom made-to-order/special order items are made to your specifications. Due to the custom nature of made-to-order/special order items, all sales are final. Made-to-order/special order items defective due to manufacturing will be repaired/replaced as long as the claim is made within the warranty period offered by the manufacturer. Custom pieces damaged in shipping will still follow all steps for a freight claim as previously listed here. All Custom pieces will be repaired or replaced with an item of the same nature as previously ordered. You will not be allowed to order an item that differs from the damaged or defective item.

Amazing!I've had this grill 1 month. Cooked brisket, thick cut pork chops,whole pork tenderloin, whole turkey, brats, burgers, pork sausage patties and steaks. Shocked at the efficiency and temperature control. The flavor it gives food with different woods is nothing short of amazing. It cooks forever on one decent pile of wood. It took me 3 years of pondering if the price was worth it, knowing what I know now, it would be 3 seconds. This thing will make you a believer.
It really is a money saver tooI have a ton of experience grilling and smoking for 30 years and was a bbq judge for 3 years. I know good barbecue. I have had many gas grills, electric smokers and charcoal grills. They all have their pros and cons, but there was always at least one thing missing from each. I started appreciating charcoal and stick burning more and more.I live in Canada where summers are warm but winters are too cold to have an electric or thin metal charcoal smoker. I had tasted many foods at competitions from Kamado style cookers and knew they were good. I did my research and decided that the Broil King Keg was the best value. Now, I have used it 30 times since and I am totally impressed with it as both a smoker and and grill. The convection style cooking retains moisture better than anything I've used before. But the absolute best thing is, I hardly use any charcoal or wood . It is an efficient beast...I used to go thorough so much fuel and as weather got colder it became impractical to use. Not with the Steel Keg, it is so well insulated that it retains it's heat. All that equals money saving on fuel. I recommend the Broil King Keg highly.
Unbelievable Results!The Keg is awesome. Pork butt, ribs, brisket, pastrami has all turned out delectable. There is no need to hesitate if you are thinking of one of these....you wont be sorry. We can do low and slow in the Keg for over 12 hours with charcoal left. Light it, set it and just occasionally check on it and supper is perfect every time. If I knew it was this good I would have had one years ago.
The bestThe Keg gives the possibility to control the temperature. This is a complete machine to prepare steak, vegetables, pizza, bread, beercan-chicken, with or without flavours or smoke. easy to start, nice- looking, keeps the heat inside and gives back a delicious foods.
Charcoal is king!I convinced my wife that a Broil King 2000 would make a great Christmas gift. I've used it almost every weekend since and would never go back to propane. Obviously takes a bit longer to get going than pushing an igniter button but the temperature control is awesome and you can't beat the smoky charcoal flavour! Highly recommended!
Awesome BBQMy son bought a Keg and invited us over for Thanksgiving turkey that he cooked on the Keg. It was the best turkey we have ever had, tender and juicy. A few weeks later he cooked us pizza on the stone and once again by far the best pizza too. I decided at that point to switch from a gas BBQ to the Keg. I was originally worried about the "back to charcoal set up" . It does take a little bit longer to start up (compared to gas) but the small amount of start up time is well worth the quality and taste if the food coming off the grill. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the lack of side shelves so you do need a small table beside the Keg for prep. I am extremely pleased with this BBQ and my gas days are done!
Such a good BBQ someone stole itI bought my 2000 a year ago. It was recently stolen out of my yard so I hope the thief takes the time to write the review it deserves. I'm taking this advantage to upgrade to the 5000. I'll chain her down because I dont want to experience this heartbreak again. I'm going through withdrawel. See attached photos of me and the son I never had (doesn't he look just like me?). The build, efficiency, simplicity and cooking results are all brilliant. I've read reviews where people have complained of moisture ingress. Mine is uncovered year round; under a tree in the summer, in the garage in the winter and showed minimal interior moisture only after a heavy rain. I suspect an upsidedown pail over the top vent would have thwarted that. Mine showed zero signs of rust after a year of torture. After 8 months of use I gave it a thorough cleaning and the disassembly / reassembly was simple and quick. As an intermediate griller I never had the chance to slow cook yet but if it is as good as the normal grilling I've done I look forward to the results. Look for my review of the 5000 in the coming year
