Great option for patio heater

Perfect for our needs; so happy with the first one we bought a second one. Lots of heat and beautiful to watch outdoors at night, Well packaged. Count on a hour to put it together- it took both of us to assembel.

Do not buy it if you want it to last.

I have a love hate relationship with this heater. When it works it is exactly everything I want.... but it has not worked most of the time I have had it. It has had several parts fail. First was the tip over safety switch. When I tried to get a replacement it was unavailable, so I bypassed it. I got about another month out of it before the screen on the top rusted out and the entire top fell off. I spent the next 6 months trying to get the part to fix it. I even ordered one from china that ended up being a scam. This thing cant be bought anywhere. When I called the company they apologized and said they aren't taking backorders because they haven't even started making the replacement parts. I was told that it took them several years before they started selling parts on their other lines of heaters. The employee went even further to say that he had tons of people and retailers that were looking for this specific part. Not sure one start reviews will make a difference and get them to support their product but we can try. Part number "SGT-SCREEN"

Will I be able to break this down at all to store in my garage in summer?

Answer:
Hi Jane! This heater does require assembly to set up the heater from shipping but it does not break down unless you were to disassemble. Recommended storage is upright as assembled in a sheltered location. The assembled height is 86-inches or 7.16 feet if that will fit in your garage. Can these patio heaters be used on a porch with a 9 foot ceiling?

Hi Wayne! Unfortunately, you would need a minimum of 10 foot ceiling because the unit is 86 inches (7.1 feet) and you need 36 inches (3 feet) clearance from the top to combustibles.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
